I got to spend 40 days in the hospital, and 2.5 months at home, earlier this year, so I understand some of what you're going through. (Not diverticulitis for me)

Well finally home. What a miserable experience this has been. Top it off surgeon forgot to sign my pain med prescription on his way out the door today and the duty surgeon was in surgery so I couldn't get my prescription filled. He told me to drive out to his office tomorrow except I am in no real condition to be out driving.
One of the interesting side effects of this surgery is I am having a hard time holding my farts. Last night I took my son to see Santa and try as I might I gassed the line multiple times.
