You are so right. Here is where it took a tone. (second post of the thread)

I agree, but sometimes It is nice to thinly about how things were when we were young. I learned to shoot where flatirons mall is now. It was a good time shooting prairie dogs with a 10/22 with a 50rd magazine.
Things are different everywhere. Everyone has great memories of when they were kids. that is tje way It should be. I hope my children have those same types of feelings when they have grown up.
[Shake]so what your saying is instead of realizing that im talking about the booze swilling while shooting , cut you off on the road for no reason , self entitled litter bugs ... wait never mind you have already stated that you felt im talking about you personally . so if you feel like your one of the people im talking about then thats on you .honestly i had no idea you even existed until this thread. also i do something about it all the time so telling me to stfu is way out of line considering i was trying to be lighthearted with you and you took it way too personally . sorry you feel personally attacked .
yep im over it
so i took a drive up 83 and what used to be beautiful open prairie is now mc mansions hell .
Your just old[Beer]
My post was nothing more than a reflection of youth, no "hatefulness" implied or intended. I do however understand how natives over say 30 have some animosity to "Transplants".
We have watched as our state has turned into the very thing a lot of the "Transplants" escaped from.
Take my tongue in cheek statement where I told Ray1970 that I "hate" him- he can't wait for the northern end of FasTracks to go live so he can hop on the rail and head downtown. I would love to make "Shermans Neckties" from the rails, they are 75' from my back fence. I don't want light rail, subways or any other crap like that anywhere near me. That's what Chicago, Boston and New York are there for as far as I'm concerned.
Colorado had always been a very conservative state. In the last 20 years we have seen Denver turn into the 3rd most "gay friendly" city only surpassed by San Fran and NYC. We have seen agricultural and livestock ways of life die a slow death, only to see it replaced by "urban sprawl".
Take the last Governors election for instance: when you broke down the results by counties it was quite revealing. Naturally the front range with Boulder and Denver went D but it was quite surprising the mountain regions and San Luis Valley- all D.
What was a very conservative state has now become a liberal bastion.
I understand the downfall of agriculture and livestock-this has happened nation wide- sign O the times I guess.
Maybe the rest is a sign O the times as well.
I generally don't mind the Texicans too much, kinda nice to hear a friendly drawl once in a while.
How would I realize that if I didn't know those problems existed?
That's why my first response was to ask WTF you were talking about. I've never personally heard of Texans going to Colorado to get drunk, discharge firearms, cut people off, or dump trash, much less enough of them doing it to make that kind of generalization.
Until you explained it further, you were talking about me personally. I'm from Texas, you were attacking Texans. Gee, silly me for getting offended.
None of the above MO's pertain to me, so you weren't talking about me. Well, there is roughly 25 million of us in Texas, so I'd say your chances are pretty good you're going to throw that kind of trash talk about in front of a Texan a time or two.
Just like your signature says; if you're going to be stupid, you better be tough.
I said you can do something about it, or STFU. Since you actually do something about it, it doesn't pertain to you and if you feel offended that's on you, right?
Is that supposed to be an apology?
No matter where you live, it's going to change whether you like it or not. The area I grew up in has turned into a shithole, so I moved an hour outside of town. The houses in my neighborhood are far enough from town and expensive enough that I don't have to worry about trash moving in for a good while.
Now if we could only get rid of those God damned winter Texans with Colorado license plates and Obama stickers... [LOL]
i really am out at the ranges (open space nat forest ) and yes i speak from first hand experience and if you will notice i also included cali and new york .

i dont get offened when people make general statments about the ghetto/hood but yet thats where im from . i know when people trash talk about the inner city they probably are not talking about me unless they call me by name . notice colorado lucky dog is from texas and is not jumping my on my sh*t about it . i would assume thats because he knows he is not guilty and that im not talking about responsible out of staters .

believe me im not too worried about . you dont get to be this good looking by not taking a punch to the grill [Abused]

you got upset about a general statement i made while your statement was directed towards me personally
[/quote]Is that supposed to be an apology? [/quote]
yep ,thats about as good as it gets

and now we get to the original thread topic witch was , this thing was this and now its this other thing .
example
every time they tear down a house they build 4-6 ikea east german modern looking piece of crap condos in its place .
the rail yard downtown used to be huge now its much much smaller . now its more condos .
as a kid i played in the hills and fields where ther are now malls and mc mansions , track housing hell ... i think you get the point .
and who remembers the denver zephers , old mile high stadium (pretty frikin cool ) , 93 riots , the grand prix
i hope that clears it up and you stop trolling for an argument where there is none to be had
I like Texans more than any other state. They can appreciate Colorado and assimilate here better than say a UCLA lifer that has never worked a day in their lives.
Their women know how to take a punch. Gotta love that.
I kid. I don't hit women.
