How many more bear seasons are there? Maybe I can come help you out.
I appreciate the offer. The bear tag is concurrent with the three deer/elk rifle seasons so even though my elk license was for 2nd season, I can also hunt bear during both first and third season. But my bear tag is specific to GMU 12, 23, 24, 25,26,33, 131 & 231. Too far away and too late in season for bear to be worth the time and expense to hunt 3rd season. Plus, I've been away from home several weeks to prep and go hunting.
If I took the time it might be worthwhile to concentrate on hunting only bear in the 1st season, or draw for an early season bear tag. Unfortunately, I couldn't draw a bear tag for the area where I live.
I have seen alot of turkeys in wild but never this many in a flock. About a dozen more not in pics.

If you're unarmed, you are a victim.
I was up at Heil Valley Ranch above Boulder hiking for the weekend and saw my first live wild turkeys. They were big! Made me hungry. ;)

When they leave tracks in the snow, you can see the drag marks from their tails.
The biggest numbers I’ve personally seen are 500+ birds just after they came out of the roost. A sea of black in a corn field. This was in Colorado.
That used to be a common sight in Nebraska. My turkey hunting buddies said they would see 30+ toms in full strut. The farmers would say the same thing and how the numbers are down significantly all over the state. Colorado seems to be on the rise however
Turkey populations across the country have been on the rise for decades, apparently. But like you said sniper, some individual areas are seeing declines.

Artic Foxes, Thule AB, Greenland
They're like cute fuzzy fast raccoons all over base.
That's cool!
How long are you up there? Pretty sure Muskox have the longest hair in nature with the exception of a horse's tail. Not to mention their unmatched cold tolerance.
Meant to post these. 25 Nov Conifer area
That house is either really far away or those are gigantic turkeys.
Or maybe you were at Tiny Town?
Near enough
Forgot this yesterday.
That's not a pig.
Sort of is. It's a javelina, aka collared peccary.
Right, but not a pig. They aren't related. Also, mountain goats aren't goats.
Like Rainbow Trout?
So what are the goats and trout screwing up?
I was using trout as an example of a non-native species that many people would assume is native, no weigh in on the other part. However, I can't think of a way that mountain goats are screwing anything up. Don't they have a pretty small population? Unless he means putting more resections on domestic grazing or something.
Been here 50+ yrs, much of it outside in "wilderness" settings. I don't remember anyone arguing against goats being here.
Not sure who the goats might be displacing or harming when they are 300 hundred feet up the canyon walls in Ladore Canyon.
Now that I think of it, when I'm thinking of conflicting with domestic grazing, that's with big Horn sheep. I'm also curious what conflicts mountain goats are causing.
Mountain goats can trigger rock falls. Those bastard not-goats.
You spend months hunting and not seeing anything. Only to go in someone's yard to have it full of bucks you wouldn't pass up on your first day of the season.

I drove out East on Quincy to Golden Gun Club today, and saw a few families of prairie animals on the plains. It strikes me that they are so close (but yet so far.)
