My two dogs have pet doors into the backyard and are allowed anywhere in the house except my bedroom. They know not to even cross the threshold.
Two Italian Greyhounds. One is 15lbs and one is 19lbs and somehow they manage to take up more room than my wife and I. They're all legs and somehow those legs seem to lengthen at night.
Wife's small female cat comes and goes. Sometimes sleeps at our feet, sometime between us if she's feeling brave. She likes to cuddle when the mood strikes her.
I kick her off if I catch her licking her ass on my bed.
We had one I didn't care for much that always tried to sleep at our heads, but I flung her off enough times she finally got the hint. Said cat is now long gone. Good riddance.
Our 2 old GSPs jump in bed with the wife before I leave for work. Well, I guess they don't jump anymore, I have to place them on the bed for my wife. They're 13 & 15 years old.
Would I? Yes. Would the wife? No.... so the dog sleeps in his own bed, though he has been known to nap with me.

Dogs don't sleep on the bed with us. They are allowed on the bed otherwise.
Allergies; I can't have them in the same room where I sleep.
Yep. Two beagles, they keep me warm and happy.
