A month later, another request. Repeat ad naseum for 7 months. Multiple times I'd call and ask for an update, be told to give it two weeks. Finally, I went to my company's HR department and asked them to get involved. 3 days later, they agree to pay out for the claim. 204 days after my appointment. And 4 months after I paid the entire thing myself (they billed my insurance $981, they billed me $1,911 when I agreed to pay it). As of now, I get to wait two weeks for a refund. In the meantime, I'm paying damn near criminal interest rates on the credit card balance that I had to use to cover the visit.
This past weekend, I had to re-enroll in my coverage. My current plan has been discontinued, so the only option was to get a plan that costs triple over my old plan. Let's hope they actually give a fuck about me if something happens this year.
