What does DRL stand for?

During one of the last cold snaps, I was watching 9news interview people about the cold. They were talking to some girl who was in the act adding air to her tires at a gas station. She said "it's weird, every time it gets cold my tires LEAK".

Someone took the time to teach that gal that checking tire pressure is important but apparently failed to teach her the finer points of the subject.

Regarding TPMS, mine allows you to set the warning light to whatever pressure you want. They all don't do that?

I don't necessarily like Daytime Running Lights, but I ALWAYS have my lights on.

My truck's manual just says that it throws the warning light when the pressure is "low". I'm assuming that's under the suggested pressure for the stock tires although you can teach it a new pressure but it's not a simple process.

The point is to see the cars in low visibility situations that wouldn't necessarily need full headlights. Things like twilight hours, fog, etc...

Not my understanding....

DRL's on car's are for the same reason as motorcycles have had them for 30+ years ... to make them stand out more and appear closer then they are to help prevent accidents.

however I believe that if everyone has them that safety boost is negated. and therefore decreasing rider safety.
