That's a very good quote, GMan, where these people removing our history, are not removing it because of the history, but rather because of the politics today.

I mean seriously. These people are trying to say that the South, in the Civil War, and so despicable, that they should be removed from history.
The Civil War was a great and tragic part of American history.
I have members of my ancestry that were on both sides of the War Between the States. In fact I have roots that go back to long before the Revolutionary War. No matter which side of a conflict someone of note was on, all history should be preserved. Otherwise you are building the Titanic over and over, instead of learning.
All history matters.
Lets print up some t-shirts and pop some corn as people call that racist. [handbags]
Maybe a new Civil War?
So what do you suggest we do, Ridge?
I told these damn commies, anti commies and dictator-phobics that removing statue was not a good idea!

I am not a fan of statue of any sort, unless it is privately funded or given to us ( statue of liberty). Rio's statue of Jesus was funded entirely by the Catholic community in Brazil.

I particularly do not like this one, but this is privately owned? Statue of Lenin in Seattle?
