Not me. I don't know what they look like for sure. They had silver space suits on, before the police came and shot them. I never saw their faces. As far as I can guess, they and their space craft were shipped to Wright-Patterson AFB in 1963.

It's not being erased. Having a statue of a traitor erected 30 years after he lost is like putting up statues of Aldrich Ames or Robert Hanssen, or Benedict Arnold.
He was a traitor. Why should we support someone who didn't care about the United States?
Then they burn the books and filter or remove Internet access (Like China does to their citizens). After a few generations, history just becomes rumor or a 'scary campfire story'. It's no longer a part of their conscience.
Through the distillation and twisting/interpretation of history by those that didn't actually experience it, your conclusion is that there was no reason for the statues to have ever been built. Yet they were built by people a lot closer to the situation than you ever were. Perhaps your understanding of the situation isn't entirely accurate?

I wish technology solved people issues. It seems to just reveal them.

We can compromise. When ANTIFA raises an army, fights the US, and looses, they can put up a statue of their general in Portland, and the REL statue will be returned.
Gman raises a good point how many members here have a direct lineage to the confederates or union? What stories about life during that time and the reasons they chose the side they did impact their current political views. And how much geography played a major role rather than political views

You sir, are a specialist in the art of discovering a welcoming outcome of a particular situation....not a mechanic.
My feedback add 11-12 ish before the great servpocaylpse of 2012
I am descended from a mildly famous confederate general. His death is well known... he was a well known womanizer and a husband came home. Whoops, there goes Valhalla.
