I'm in favor of the death penalty only for murderers. if you took someone's life unjustly, you should forfeit yours.
if an adult molests a child, they should be subject to justice, but having to give up their life when none was taken is, to me, not right.
"but their life was taken away, they'll be scarred forever, trauma, hurt... yadda yadda" if the kid's still breathin' then the perpetrator does not deserve death.
I also think that as long as abortion is legal, the govt should not be able to charge someone that kills a pregnant woman with two murders.
