Hello
Agreed if you don't know the person Hello is fine. if you know the person its just weird
Uhh. Total scam. Everytime I put something on craigslist I get the exact same email.
Definitely a scam
Play it safe and send everything as requested, and include your ssn, and mothers maiden name with bank account numbers.
Just to make sure they are interested. [Swim]
Another scam i have recieved is as follows.
"I am interested in your item, do you still have it?"
This is a ploy to get your email address. once someone has emailed through craigslist if you respond it goes from your email to theirs.
Sister received almost the exact same email on her car. Only difference was the "job in the mountains"
You're making me uncomfortable.
I'd ask for pictures to see how hot she is first. [ROFL1]
This letter has been going around for a few weeks now to all kinds of ads.
If they do not mention the specific item I am selling in the text of the message, I never respond. If it says "your item" or "the vehicle you have for sale" it is definitely a scam.
I always say hello in emails. 1. It is the polite thing to do. 2. If I come across as a nicer person than someone else interested in something I want to buy, there's a chance (albeit maybe slight) I will get it over the other person because of that. 3. I hate receiving emails that are written like a text message, you have a keyboard in front of you, use it properly. If I get an email that looks like it was written by some wanna-be-gangsta idiot, I don't even respond.
BS meter is off the charts with that one.
