Lol. I actually liked San Francisco when the wife and I went out there. Great food and it was fun hanging around the seafood/pier district. It reminded me of someone else's kid - fun to spend a day or two with, and just as nice to be able to give back at the end of it. Oh, and since we drove out there, I carried the entire time. Without harming any of the citizenry in a shooting rampage with my high-capacity assault revolver. :-P

Day Two in occupied territory. Had an excellent steak dinner last night at one of the Sanford area Steakhouse. How can folks that can prepare steak so perfectly be so fucked in the head? Earlier in the day managed to get in a workout by putting my 35lb son on my shoulders and fast marching up a hill. Signs as we entered the wooded area warned that it was a wildcat and coyote refuge. Gave several methods of response when confronted by a wild animal, such as back away slowly, and fight back. No mention of shooting the critter attempting to feast on you.
Back around Berkeley today, again hiding out in a coffee shop. Just finished a Jack Reacher novel on my phone, downloading another and in the meantime reading some long range shooting books while browsing the trading post. Literally feels like I am in downtown Boulder only with more Asians than hippies. At least most of the Asians seem gainfully employed or are students actually studying.
Have the entire day to waste, the wife has her interview at Berkeley for their MBA program, then some orientation class, etc. Pretty much going to drink coffee, read, and watch the hippies. Should be a great day.
