I don't own a truck. I have before, just because it had wheels and went down the road. I understand that trucks are very practical, and for some necessary. I look at it this way. If I need a truck to haul it, I don't need it. Aside from moving, which often requires a very large truck, i.e. u-haul, there is no need to move a very large object.
Guns fit in pockets or waistbands. Beer fits in a backpack. Women fit on the back of motorcycles. So what the hell do I need a truck for? The shit you own ends up owning you. If you NEED a truck, then detach yourself from whatever it is you NEED that requires a truck to move. Good things come in small packages. I've never had to put my motorcycle on a truck, as I've never owned a harley (had to get that in somewhere). Maintenance and repairs can be done at home, parts for bikes are small.
