Please PM me with your online order number if you received an order with items missing. Please include a list of items you did not receive so that I know what needs to be sent out.
If you remember the CS representative you spoke with please include their name as well so that the CS manager can look into it. We assemble all of our LPKs and unfortunately there is human error involved. However, it's CS' job to make sure our customers receive any missing items in a timely manner. I do apologize for inconvenience this has caused a few of you.
I started this thread out of frustration with your customer service. I have order a couple of upper receivers and a couple of barrels from your company. I am very pleased with your products and absolutely love your barrels. Unfortunately, I will spend my money with companies with quality customer service even if I have to pay a little more for the products I want.
I don't have my order information with me. I should have it at home somewhere. I already went to a local source and purchased parts to replace the ones that were missing so I really don't need them at this point. I probably don't have the name of the person I spoke with on the phone. I do remember it was a woman.
Any other members that have placed orders and were missing items or received incorrect items, and have not been able to get the problem rectified via the normal procedures (call, email) please PM Palmetto State Armory so that they can get it resolved for you.
I've gotta acknowledge PSA here. I sent him a PM yesterday about missing parts, and heard back within minutes. Today, I got an email from them with a tracking number. I couldn't ask for more responsiveness than that. As long as we have their representative on our board to help if needed, I'll continue to be a customer. Thanks![Beer]
Oh yeah, and thanks to Sticks for bringing them on board!
yay glad to see you online here!
To PSA. BTW, welcome to the site. I know we are pretty small but as a customer I applaud your efforts towards our membership. :)
Happy to report that my big order which included 3 buffer tube kits and 3 LPKs among other things, all arrived intact. I received an email the day after I ordered saying that a picatinny swivel stud mount I had ordered was backordered, but when I opened my big box there was a different (and higher quality) picatinny swivel stud mount included. No complaints there! Thanks PSA for following up on the missing parts the other members had and welcome to our forum!
New here I place an order with psa a week ago got a confirmation number no email and I have tried and tried calling with no answer just a messege and hang up so I looked on the bbb web sight and got the main number i called and the guy said he had no way of tracking it that if I got that number I will get my stuff , I looked on my card and it has been charged , I then faxed them as well as leaving many emails with no return , what is going on with this place ? I own a business locally and I would not be in business if I practice it this way any help would be nice
just be a little patient and you will get your shit. Just recieved my two uppers the other week. Well worth the wait for sure.
What was your wait time ?
on the barreled upper recievers they show a approx. 15 day lead time, and it was pretty much right on the money!
This is my 5th order well over the $300 mark, and would not hesitate to place another order. If you wait their prices are competative. My biggest complaint is that they don't seem to keep much of anything in stock for more than a few days.,
I placed a order with them a week ago and just checked my account online. Still in "processing" I am sure they are slammed but I do expect better/faster from online retailers. Will see how long it takes and I'll determine if I'll do business with them again in the future.
.
Guys - 2 things
1. We just went through an election - this same thing happens every time - out of stock, or huge influx of orders.
2. It's the holidays - a lot of gift buying either for their spouse or themselves - huge influx of orders.
PSA also has a notice on their home pageDo a search on any of the rifle forums about PSA and you will find 2 commonalities - their customer service is lacking and the time from order to delivery is generally more than 2 weeks. Not only do the do online, they are a brick and mortar shop as well (local walk in buys are getting priority), and I am guessing with a minimal staff. Pile that on top of they are putting out quality products at really good pricing you get a high demand.Quote:
Due to increased order volume please allow additional time for your order to process and ship.
It's also December which means shipping in general is taking longer.
If its only been one week I wouldn't sweat just yet. I don't think I have received anything from them in less than 15 days. If you ordered any type of upper receiver assembly they probably don't actually assemble it until after you order it. Aside from one order where I was shorted some small parts ( which will occasionally happen with any business) I have received all of my orders. If it makes you feel any better, you will probably be very happy with your stuff once it arrives.
I have purchased several LPK's and Lower build Kits from PSA over the past year.
One of the LPK's I purchased was from our local gun shop and it had a couple of parts missing. I contacted PSA and had the missing parts in just a couple of days.
The latest Lower Build Kit I ordered directly from PSA online. It sat for a couple of months waiting for me to get enough free time to put the parts in my lower receiver. When I layed out all the parts, the grip screw and washer were missing. I had an extra so I just used it.
I will be building a few more AR's for myself and plan on buying more of PSA's Lower Build Kits, but will also include a note as to my past experiences, or I may order by phone and speak directly with a person at PSA to let them know directly.
You would think that some sort of QC is/could be implemented to reduce these types of errors.
Don't like digging up old threads, but I just received an order last night (1/9/2013) that I placed on 12/20/2012. It was for a Lower Parts Kit with Geissele SSA Trigger. I was really hoping I wouldn't have any problems, but when I opened the box, I found only the standard LPK, there was no Geissele Trigger! Reading through this thread, I decided to tear apart the box and look in all of the stiff brown paper padding hoping it fell to the bottom or got mixed up somewhere in the box, but nope, there was nothing.
Very upset! I was effectively charged $199 for a lower parts kit that normally sells for $54. I can't even sell this LPK at panic prices and recover my money! [LOL]. And when you can't even do that, you know theres a problem!
Got a hold of someone on the phone at PSA, only a 10min wait! She verified that they have some of the stand alone triggers in-stock (that are reserved and do not show up on the website) and will be sending me one ASAP. Hopefully it isn't another 3 week wait to receive the trigger. I'll update this post if/when I receive the trigger.
That sucks. Wonder if she was one of the FNGs they just hired... Good luck!
Sounds like Botach, just a different flavor of BS.
I wouldn't lump them in with Botach.
PSA is a small company, and given how the panic buying has blown up, it's obvious that mistakes can happen. I've had them forget a small part in the past; it was in the mail to me the day that I called them. The fact is that they still offer very good products and excellent prices; no wonder they're always so busy and out of stock on many items. The current situation just makes it that much worse.
I ordered some mags on 1/2 and they shipped 1/17, will see if i get mags. My 4 orders with them have not had any missing parts.
I've got about a dozen orders with them under my belt now and they just recently screwed up one of my orders for the first time. It was a mag and plate order and they left out two packs of Ranger plates. I notified them of it and they more than hooked me up for their error.
Their shipping seems to be getting even worse if thats possible. You get shipping notices after the packages arrive at your house now.
+1 for palmetto again. I got my LPK, Magpul stock, upper yesterday afternoon.
I've placed 8 orders with them over the past 6 months which included 6 LPKs, some stripped lowers, 2 complete uppers, several stock kits, and a bunch of misc parts and have not had a single problem. In the event that one of the backordered items I ordered was not ever going to come in, they sent me a better version in its place. Maybe I've just been lucky. I like their prices and their quality is acceptable for most of my needs.
Yes, you always have to wait 2-3 weeks for their processing and shipping... Everybody knows that. If that is not acceptable for your situation, then shop elsewhere.
saw this on their FB page today.... LOL

I've bought 6LBK's and 3 LPK's over the last 11 months, a few from my LGS but most ordered directly.
Only two of these came complete.
Most were missing 1 or two items: bolt & washer for grip, detenet, detent spring, roll pin for bolt catch, little things. But as we all know, those 'little things' keep an AR from operating.
Granted, PSA always sent replacement parts after I notified them, but that has taken up to 2 months to get, on top of just the hassle of getting in touch with them.
All of the stripped lower receivers I have bought have bee wonderful.
Just spoke to PSA for the third time now after receiving my $206 BASIC LPK (should have been an LPK-Geissele Trigger).
1/9 - Package Received
1/10 - Called PSA to inform them of missing geissele trigger. They said they were still in stock (employee put her hands on one) and would ship out that day.
1/14 - Called PSA to double check it was sent, they said they were out of stock and never shipped one, but that it would be shipping later that week (as they were expecting a new shipment that week.
1/24 - Called PSA, spoke with a guy who said they have them in-stock right now and counted the number that they had in-stock, then sorted through the orders that had them to find mine and said it will be shipping later today and I'll receive UPS shipping confirmation with tracking number. If not, I'm calling back on Monday. Still holding my breath until I receive that tracking number.
1/29 - Called PSA, spoke with the girl I spoke with on 1/10. She immediately told me they were out of stock and I was still waiting. I then asked why they had told me on two separate occasions why they were in-stock and would be shipping that day. The looked into it further and claims that they shipped it out on Friday 1/25 via USPS and therefore there is no tracking number. She said it will take 5 days to get to me. If I do not receive it by Saturday, 2/2 I will be calling Visa and having them reverse the charges.
2/2 - They told me the trigger would be delivered today, at the absolute latest, via USPS. Imagine how surprised I was when it didn't show up (not at all surprised). Will be calling on Monday demanding a full refund and if they refuse to give it to me, I'm calling my bank to report the fraudulent activity and their bait-and-switch tactics.
At this point, I am EXTREMELY disappointed in PSA's customer service. I understand the current state of the industry, but it has taken them 3 weeks to get me a straight answer on what the situation is. Then, they claim that they ship it out via a method that conveniently provides no tracking number for the customer. What pisses me off the most, is that this entire time, my order "Status" has showed "complete" on their website. Even AFTER I said that it was not complete and I was missing parts, they never changed it, which they should have. For all I know, they never shipped anything last Friday and are just waiting until I give up on my parts, and at the moment, I honestly believe they are unscrupulous enough to do that. Especially since they can now claim that they sent me the part through USPS and if I didn't receive it, its not their fault and I need to take it up with the USPS for replacement.
Bumping this up, has anyone ever received items from PSA shipped via USPS? Or did they tell me it was shipped via USPS so there was no way they could track it and then claim its not their fault if it doesn't arrive?
(See above post for the latest developments in my current situation)
Friends dont let friends shop at PSA.
Short answer, yes. See post below.
They were like this before all the madness so I cannot imagine now. I ordered two things from them before the panic and they still got it wrong. I ended up with a free LPK but it took damn near a month and half to get everything right. It was shipped USPS. I will NEVER order anything from them again. I sent them a nasty email about how they treat customers and did not get a peep back. Will gladly pay more from someone who provides tracking numbers, accurate orders, and has great customer service.
Thanks for the in-depth reply. I am at my wits end and as much as I'd love to cancel the order, I know they'd say something to the effect of "Okay, well ship us back the parts you've received and once we receive them, we'll process the refund. But it could take 10-15 days after we receive the parts to process." And if I did that, I'd be out all of my parts AND my money.
Frankly, I am VERY tempted to call my bank and see how I go about reversing the charges for fraudulent "bait and switch" charges, which is exactly what they did because they claimed the entire time my order was "complete". That is my only hope for getting my money back.
I posted on the ARFCOM "The Official - Where is my Order" Thread that PSA is actually responding with status updates, but I don't expect to hear anything concrete from them. Only time will tell.
I've ordered some stripped lowers, no problems, 3 LPK's W/O FC group, no problems, and just ordered a lower build kit, and we'll see. In all cases it took a long time to ship, but no worse than what they said it would up front. So we'll see I guess.
Ordered and received lower build kit and upper in a timely fashion
