Not off and hating it. Gamblers don't take snow days. The needle is buried deep with some of these folks.
Hey, GilpinGuy... the wife wants to make a sojourn up to your neck of the woods and spend a few days with me taking in the sights. Any recommendations for things to do, which casinos to hit? I'm not much of a gambler, but I like anywhere with atmosphere and good food.
Roads were covered in snow, no slick spots at 5am. Didn't stop everyone from driving at 30mph in a rolling roadblock. Was a half hour late to work this morning, and the other guy called in.
Looks like a sort of snow day for me today. Actually, sounds more like a late start sort of day. Boss called and told me to stay home for a few hours and see if the roads clear up a bit before I make a road trip to Pueblo to get tags for my company truck. This is the same boss that has me travel up to Casper in near white-out conditions.
My boss made sure I was coming in.
Boss called me and had me head in at 7:30. You know, once the roads really got full of cars. I bet I could have made it in about 40 minutes if I left at 5:45. Instead, it took me well over an hour with the traffic.
I heard I-25 is closing up North. Can anyone confirm?
I been [Plow] my ass off, taking a lunch break.
And since Hick took over I imagine the whole state will shut down, he is ball-less
Nothing. I got nothing. The car is outside today and it doesn't even have a layer of snow.
Starting to come down pretty good right now near I-70 and Tower. Blowing like crazy too.
Just heard from a parts supplier (Ralph Schomp actually) that their truck is stuck up on I80 coming from Chicago. They have closed down I80 due to the weather.
They are always shutting down I-80. Especially in Wyoming. I'll be traveling I-80 through Nebraska next week.
