For pure winter tires the best I have had.

But I had a set of cooper winter tires. They were good too. But blizzaks the best.

Pirrelli Scorpion Winter are decent and one of the few winter tires that are VR speed rated (up to 149mph). I prefer lower speed rating and better winter tire though.

This storm may have had more snow, but for me much more tame than the 2006 Xmas storm.

This one did not leave 6 foot drifts in my yard/driveway.

One area (where I watch out of my windows) had tractors Sunday pulling people out. Drove through there this morning where the road was "clear" and the drift+piled snow was 10 to 12 feet high. For some reason wind always blows / dumps in that section of road.

But really, why did the town keep pulling people out when they were practicing Darwinism by driving Sunday night? Sometimes people irritate me; they do stupid, unnecessary things (like driving when they did not NEED to go anywhere; most people can survive 24 hours in their house) and then expect others to come bail them out. Many time first responders (and snow crews) are at risk because of stupid decisions others make. Maybe spending the night in a stuck car would teach some people what poor decision making results in?

You?re just assuming those people had no business being out. While I?m sure there were some people out just joyriding and probably some people who felt a trip to the liquor store was very necessary, I?m sure some of the people who were out and about may have had jobs to get to or maybe some sort of emergency situation that they had no choice but to get out on the roads.

You should see the morons in the mornings, anything less than 90mph in left lane will get you run over.

Some people might have even had a job at CDOT running a plow, or a tow company or something :p wouldn't that be irony...

There are very few people who needed to be out. You know that to be true. Yes, there are first responders, medical, utility people. But going to 7-11 for milk is not essential nor smart. It can wait a day.

Also, when people get stuck that makes it harder for plows to come through and get things flowing again.
