I was trying not to provoke you and further derail this thread.
Obviously I don't think that people on oxygen need to be kickboxing, or paraplegics need to be perfecting their trap and roll. And yes, I do think that able bodied men that carry guns would be well served to learn some fighting basics.
For the record, I believe that GZ should be acquitted. He was obviously acting in self defense against a thug out looking for a fight.
Can we not agree that GZ (an able bodied man) would have been better off if he were able to scramble out from under TM? That seems obvious to me, but maybe my post count is too low to have a valid opinion.
Agree to a point. I've seen the smallest person overcome the biggest one on the block. Personally had he stayed put, this may or may not have happened.
With that being said, no matter how good or bad a shape he was or should have been in. The Lynch Mob mentality of this administration, the DOJ and usual bomb throwers puts this country in a very precarious position.
What better way to advance gun control than with Z's prosecution.
This I can go with, your previous statement about how we all (able bodied men, thanks for that correction) should learn how to fight is just an asinine argument. Yes learning a martial art is beneficial and a very healthy option (good workout!), but it is just that, a good idea, not everyone should be expected to be a "fighter" and not everyone should be expected to learn some basics. Some don't due to personal, financial, and time reasons, among others, and that's why many carry guns, to defend themselves because fighting just isn't an option, or they perhaps never want to get into a fight -well no one should want to get into a fight- I sure don't, and I know a bit more than just the basics and don't care to ever have to use that knowledge/skill.

I'm pretty sure that the prosecutor mentioned that the Skittles (TM) weren't stolen by Trayvon (TM) to reinforce his point that the only crime Trayvon (TM) committed was having the Skittles (TM).
That being said, I'm rather pleased that everyone in the world seems to have missed the point of that very poorly delivered sentence. Makes the prosecution look bad and that is okay with me.
Defense is killing it!!
