Cat face spiders and Orb Weavers are from same family of spiders, everybody was correct. Weather this year helped with bumper crop.

I have a couple at my house too. I always see they have a pretty good catch, so I leave them alone.
Those spiders are actually pretty cool. I had one build a web in front of a wasp nest at my house. Started off about the size of a lima bean, it just disappeared for the winter and it was roughly the size of a half dollar. It probably didnt help that I found grasshopppers and threw them into its web for dinner.

P.S. That thing looks bigger than the mouse I caught last night.
Worthless cat scared it into a pouch on a gun case and couldn't get it (no front claws). I got it out with a tongs after pulling out the mags.
Now, experience has taught me that if there's one baby mouse to be caught...
