Ok, I know this thread has been dead awhile, but I just couldn't resist. I remember when I was a kid in the early 80's, my dad was president of the Colorado Springs chapter of the Issac Walton League. I remember when they were building their old range off of hwy 24. It was a great range. Mostly for shotgun shooters, but there were also rifle and pistol ranges as well. I learned how to shoot there. Well, long story short, people started bitching about noise and dust, and before too long, they had to shut the whole range down. That sucked.

I guess one of my prime reasons for moving out to the country where I am now is that I can have my own, private shooting range. I talked to my neighbors about what I was doing and was thrilled to discover that EVERYBODY out here is a shooter. I mean EVERYBODY!!!! I'm still respectful about not shooting to early or late etc., but it is such a pleasure not to have to worry about any BS.
