Well Then I guess we'll have to vote people into office that are willing to remove welfare type benefits from people so that they'll leave and we can get the state back. Fiscal responsibility and removing incentives for freeloaders should take care of two problems... we'll no longer have to pay for things we disagree with and the liberals will leave.

Maybe I'm wrong but seems like that could be a backdoor way of doing it. It'll take awhile but getting people to agree on money seems to be easier than agreeing on gun rights, it's much less of a hot button issue.


Maybe we also need to start running commercials during the daytime trash tv that highlight the benefits people can receive for doing nothing in California immediated followed by inexpensive moving company commercials. Let's ship those assclowns back to where they came from.

Just realize that THIS is exactly what the left is doing with gun laws in this state (and based on the number of "I'm leaving" posts, it seems to be working).

I don't believe there's a single Democrat in Denver that honestly believes any of these laws they are proposing will do a damn thing to make even one Coloradoan even 1% safer. But they do know if they make it uncomfortable for conservatives to live here that many will leave and then the Democrats will gain enough power here that they can rape and pillage this beautiful (and rich) state just like they did in California.

I'm not sure how boycotting the tourism industry would effect the State in any appreciable way. Most of the tourist industry is privately owned.

If one really wanted to put the hurt on the State boycott the DMV, paying state taxes, property taxes, etc. Yeah, they have ways of making your life hell for it but would be more of a direct challenge to their authority.

Everyone seems to be talking about leaving. Guess I'm just stubborn, I ain't goin' nowhere anytime soon.

I don't think Colorado is going to get better. I've lived here my entire life, (except for 5 years in WY) and it's been a slow, measurable shift toward the left. Too much influx of immigrants from the west coast and south of the border. I love the state, and I don't hold the illusion that any other state is going to be (or remain) a perfect haven for my views (except maybe texas... ). So although I intend to move in a few years, it's more to find a huge patch of cheap land to build a homestead on. A patch of land in which I and my loved ones will anything we damn well feel we have a constitutional right to, and is far enough away from any townships to draw attention to ourselves.

If for some reason I'm unable to leave the state as easily as I would prefer, or find a good deal on land here, I'll stick it out. And continue to partake in EVERYTHING that's granted to me by the Constitution, until it's no longer physically possible. They can shove their publicity-whore legislation up their collective Obamas.

I've been hearing the term "east coaster effect" lately. I live in a small mountain town. Twenty years ago it was a quirky mountain town. Fifteen years ago i became a bedroom community for Boulder. With that, the new arrivals want more amenities (snow removal, paved streets, sidewalks, rec. centers...). There are places that can already accommodate these needs but some feel the need to move in and "change" what they don't like. Nevermind those that moved here because it was a quirky mountain town.
