I respectfully disagree. They want that hunting and fishing revenue BAD! It is nearly a TWO BILLION dollar economic impact in this state. They may not like the idea of hunting (or the guns that are used in hunting) but they sure as hell like the revenue from it. That can be shown by how they put in an exception for manufacturers of "high" capacity magazines. They don't want the magazines being sold here... but they sure want the revenue from them being made here. It is all about the money, money, money!

I've canceled a couple of guided fly fishing trips here and I'm looking elsewhere for when my father-in-law comes to visit. I'm thinking Jackson Hole might be a great place to try. I'll call around and see if I can find some guides this weekend and book a trip for this Spring (if I'm not too late) and this Fall.

We've all said these laws would hit them where it hurts (the wallet) when it comes to hunting and fishing in the state. Now is the time to prove it. I wouldn't encourage those of you who do it to feed your families or those who simply don't want to. But I'll stand behind those who do want to!

Waiting on tourist season.

I'm thinking I might try and do a KS or NE turkey hunt in the fall. I'll still do some small game stuff in state since my fees don't go to general fund, but any guided hunt or hunt where I'll be spending on lodging and food I'm going out of state. Wouldn't mind a hog hunt in TX later this year either.

I've had people from out of state tell me that they won't be hunting here tr, nor will their friends. I think it is weird though sonince Illinois was listed as one of the alternative to our state, despite Illinois seeming even more gun unfriendly.

Just like every other year. Nebraska for turkey and deer, Wyoming for speed goat.

But this year all fishing and small game will be in Wyoming.

The state will make it more and more difficult to participate in these activities so that fewer and fewer people will care when they are finally prohibited. Voluntarily giving up a firearm activity (hunting) is just rolling over and handing them exactly what they want. What happens when the stats come out next year stating that there are XX% fewer hunters in Colorado now than in years past - therefore the state can justify making hunting even more difficult because their numbers back it up. Frankly, boycotting hunting sounds like a Lib plot.

Also, as stated before, many gun toting patriots make their living in Colorado off of the hunting industry - small town lodging, restaurants, outfitters, suppliers, cooks, guides, etc. You are hurting them more than the state. And, the DOW IS ON OUR SIDE.

Stupidest liberal gun-grabbing idea I have ever heard.

Those who make a living in this state from the hunting industry, my heart bleeds for them, however the state made a bold statement the last couple of weeks, they do not want us. That includes them as well. They want the tax revenue from money spent, but they do not want us. They can not have it their way, hence forth, we need to stop spending our dollars here, hunting, or tourism. If thats too hard for you to grasp, I'm sorry, but you have your opinion, and I have mine. I'm interested in strangling the state financially, as well as removing the crooks from power, until these laws are repealed. If you aren't interested in cutting the funding to the state, what are you interested in?
