He never went into the swamp at all...
Rumor is that the parents were connecting a new camper to their truck the day she was reported missing.
A neighbor found it odd that the parents would go camping with their adult son in such a small camper
Just offer a cash reward and unless he?s left the country or is in full blown hermit hideout someone is going to give him up. Maybe even a family member if the payout is big enough.
Federal warrant...US Marshals Service looking for him now.
*Charge is wire fraud.

Beria was taken out and shot. Brian will be arrested and thrown in a holding cell with some thugs to soften him up.
Please let this over covered story die already. She dead. Obvious perp. She is nothing more than any random missing person. Treat her as such. Or treat every missing person like her.
How much manpower and money is being wasted...
+1
She could have just fallen down and struck her head on a rock. If you don't like a thread, just don't read it. Same as if you don't like a members post, just block them.
Meh, I like seeing public examples of how badly the judicial system screws the pooch when there are clearly obvious baddies. Guy probably won't be caught for five years at least imho, he is probably on a beach in a non-deportation country sipping martinis and flirting with girls.
But wrap your money with rubber bands and those fuckers will be all over that ASAP.
I dunno what to do, but when you pull up on a car with a woman crying, you may want to do something.

A women crying is not evidence of anything nor is it a call to act.
The boyfriend had scratch marks on his face. The officer observed them driving erratically, including into the curb. When questioned, he said she pulled the steering wheel from him.
There are more than a few, warning signals being generated here. I am not saying the response was wrong, just that it needs to be thought about.
As I recall, the interaction was for hours.
+1. White knights are one of the worst plagues of them all in the entire justice system. I've seen manipulating women get away with everything, including murder.
How it should be:
Treat each and every person exactly the same. White, black, teenager, attractive crying woman, fat man, grandma.... treat them all like they might pull a gun out of their genitals or butt cheeks and kill you when your back is turned, but be polite and respectful about it.
PS: A friend of mine was a cop in OKC and got shot when a woman pulled a gun out from her tits while he was dealing with the guy. He ended his career after that. Reality of crappy people is not Hollywood, unfortunately, "nice" people sometimes hack up their neighbor and eat them, and they are friendly as can be while talking to you.
Meanwhile the homeless guy that looks like he came from 'stan wearing a suicide vest may in fact be one of the best people at heart. Can never judge the book, even if a person thinks they are good at judging.
But, also fuck transients. GD drug addicted, every one of them. :p
Yup, and that's damn good work by the officers. No serious crime, just an argument and high emotions. The officers kept everyone around long enough to get tempers calmed down as much as possible. They didn't have to spend that much time, but they did a lot to try to help those two.
And even when they do everything right...

It's great that hindsight is 20\20.
Also a bane of our country is the "if only they had done something" mantra. That's half our excessive regulations right there, all by itself.
What were the Moab cops supposed to do, assume they know all the facts, have a genie check the future, separate them and give her solo psychotherapy sessions for 90 days until she realized her boyfriend was controlling?
Because yeah, that's what it takes when dealing with a triad. She'd go back to him otherwise. They always do. They could've spent a week on that call and it wouldn't have done a damn bit of good. And no crime witnessed on the boyfriends part, so unless we want total recall shit, or we want cops arresting us on presumption of future crime, it happened exactly the way it should.
I guess I don't understand what more the police could have done.
According to the timeline:
A 911 call is placed by someone who reports seeing a confrontation between Gabby and Brian.
The caller said he saw Laundrie hit Petito.
Police in Moab, Utah, are dispatched and pull the van over.
It is unclear if they knew the details of the 911 call.
Police bodycam video shows Petito crying and upset.
The police report says that Petito hit Laundrie, but no arrests were made.
The couple is separated for the night - Laundrie checks into a hotel and Petito stays in the van.
If the couple was separated for the night, what more could they have done?
I thing that many believe the LEO failed after the missing person report published. BF lawyered up right our of the gate and they pretty much ignored him, nobody watching to make sure he didn't disappear.
Innocent until proven guilty and all, but they should have made sure he didn't fall off the edge of flat earth at that point.
I saw nothing wrong with the UT cops at all.
Florida police are dropping the ball like Michael J Fox trying to juggle greased apples? Imagine that.
Moab is a small tourist town. I am sure the police deal with situations like this all the time- vacations gone wrong.
They did a good job, although I'm sure they are kicking themselves for what happened in Wyoming.
EDIT- ...for not being able to predict what happened in Wyoming.
The best news about the entire saga...

Dog is on the case! This will be over in no time.
I think they'll find meatball eventually.
Reminds me of the abortion clinic killer that evaded capture for several months some years back. They finally got him.
... and you say this based on what personal experience with Florida police? I lived in Brevard County for 3 years and have nothing but respect for the sheriff and deputies there (or at least the ones there when I was there). I didn't see the city police in Melbourne or surrounding communities dropping any balls either.
Really?
The main problem for Florida is that illegal narcotics are the states largest industry by dollar volume. Law enforcement is out gunned and under funded. Brian Laundrie could easily assimilate into the illicit drug industry. If he dies in the swamp, I truly doubt they will find his remains. 214 miles from North Port to Havana...easy trip in our boat.

Dog has a tip line and he's not sharing his information.
When you think of it, he's the 1980's version of an Instagram influencer, just a leathery version of one. And he's definitely gabby.
I'm sure he'll be about as useful as an Instagrammer helping to rebuild after a hurricane.
I actually hope Dog catches the guy.
Just think it would be funny if all of those law enforcement dudes fumble fuck everything and waste everyone?s time and tax dollars and some leathery egomaniac actually uses some resources and common sense and tracks him down.
