I actually got mine on a pretty good deal (my Aimpoint + $250 from the cash I made selling my Leupold)

I've run a lot of optics on my AR (this scope is the 6th optic I've had), but I've found what is, IMO, the ultimate optic. I dont see myself changing again...

M1 Carbine (purists don't fret, I have all original furniture)
G36 w/CT, Beretta 92FS INOX, G32 w/23 Barrel, S&W 66-1
DPMS 5.56
(not pictured, S&W Bodyguard 380, because they haven't shipped from the factory yet!)
This started as a 14.5" Tactical from Alexander Arms but I wanted to free float the barrel so I can use a sling without throwing the point of aim off. se'll see how she does after I get a load worked up for her.
Wolfhound
Hey all ! this AR stuff is addictive #1 is 5.56 and #2 6.8 both lowers are
Spikes EGA w/DPMS lpk, and JP springs mil-spec tubesw/H-2 buffers and Magpul MOE stocks w/1/2" risers
5.56 has YHM upper w/M-4 cuts and YHM bcg. 6.8 has BCM upper and bc w/6.8 Stag bolt both have BCM ch.
5.56 has YHM Diamond Rifle length HG Lowpro gb and chrome wilson barrel 16" w/1- 9 twist
6.8 has YHM Diamond Specter length HG, Lowpro gb and Model 1 chrome barrel, SpecII w/ 1- 9.5 twist (used)..
5.56 is a tack driver if I do my part. BUIS are DPMS.
Both have BEC holosight w/quick release mounts
I plan on replacing M1S barrel with a Bison in the future, surprisingly the M1S does not shoot bad.

Heres my First ever EBR, a CMMG "Bargain Bin" m4 with UTG rail system (the metal one not the plastic one), Grip Pod (I love this thing so freaking much) and Eotech 512. I'm gonna throw a light on it eventually but thats about it. Also pictured is my CMMG .22 conversion and one of the Black Dog .22lr AR mags, Smith and Wesson Extreme Op's folder and my tactical tailor Molle Vest. I'm totally Addicted to this whole black rifle thing and my honey is demanding we build/buy her one.

Well after a long and painful wait, the little brown truck delivered my OBR. On Veterans Day no less. Happy Veterans Day to me.
I got the Scope (S&B 4-16x42 with Badger rings) mounted up and boresighted yesterday. I tossed on an Atlas bipod and screwed on my Shark (another Texas company) can.
I loaded up about 100 rounds with my old Palma standby load of Sierra Matchkings, Varget, Lapua brass and Federal Primers. I was just figuring I would get it on paper and steel, clean it and maybe start some load development to get ready for next Saturdays Sniper Match.
After a few good groups at 200 on paper, I decided to put a few rounds on steel. Below is 5 rounds at 425 yards, prone. A nice round group right around 1.75-2.0 inches. There was no wind at all. I think I am going to stick with this load.
I have shot a lot of AR-10 type guns over the years and the OBR is one of the softest shooting of the bunch. Even softer than my 24 inch SR-25 with a can and 5-25 on top.

My turn!!! Here's some of my work, the last picture was obviously a bit more casual, let me know what you all think. The pistol is a Steyr M40-A1 and the zombie repellent is a Remington 870 Express 7-shot synthetic. Oh and if you can't tell, I like my music like I like my guns... LOUD!!!

Well since we're showing off CASV-EL rails, here's mine. Just added the optic (DMS-1) today when the Primary Arms mount arrived. Also just added the AFG and the ASP to it. Other than that, it's a Stag upper on a Bushmaster lower.
CASV-EL, Troy rear BUIS, PRI flip up BUIS gas block that fits in the CASV like it was made for it, TLR-1 light, Phantom FH, unknmfg ergo grip, Vickers padded sling with HK clips, milspec tube and CTR, heavy buffer and enhanced flat buffer spring, two stage trigger, ambi safety and last but not least.. custom rattle can (aka Krylon) cammo job done a few years ago, wear is starting to show, might be due for a touch up this spring.
The lower is going on 14 years old, just did the springs on it again last year. Use to be my favorite too, then I got a piston gun.. always wanted to convert this one to piston, guess I'll be talking to RAR about that next year as well.

Here is a pic of some scar goodness.

Here is a picture (I hope) of my Plum Crazy lower from the group buy R.A.R. Guns did for us. I have a AR57 upper on it.
The Plum Crazy lower weights 1 lb 10.8 oz. A Bushmaster lower in the same condition weights 2 lb. 2.4 oz. That is 7.6 ounces (.47 lb.) difference.
I have found one thing I don't like on it. The safety can be put in the safe position without the hammer being cocked. In this condition the hammer won't move so you can't cycle the bolt. I'll get used to it.
So far I am impressed by it. I can't wait to get some trigger time.
Thanks to R.A.R. Guns for the group buy.
I decided to duracoat it... It used to be all black though, I swear!
http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/...r/100_4054.jpg
The next time R.A.R. Guns does a bulk buy I'd definitely be interested in hearing the details (If the costs ar elow enough, I might like to get in on it!).
My son and I are going to build him his first AR. We're going to build a fairly cheap AR first with the idea that he can upgrade parts later. (He REALLY wants a Magpul PRS on it eventually, but...)
Well, here is a pic of the first groups of parts my son and I bought to get us to the goal of a completed AR.
http://i598.photobucket.com/albums/t...d_1_upload.jpg
What we've got is an RGuns stripped lower, Castle Nut, Buffer Spring, Commercial Buffer Tube, Magpul Enhanced Trigger Guard, and a Magpul Ambi Sling Attachment Point (ASAP). Somehow the Buffer didn't make it into the bag @ the store - will have to give Bravo Arms a call to find out about that.
Next payday we'll pick up an LPK and stock. Then save up for a couple of months to get a complete upper.
Old school evil, baby

Here are 3 of my little guys... A MK23, 1911, and my M&P, all in 45. The case is one of my favorite parts. I made it out of an old dewalt sawzall case, used construction grade hard foam that I cut out the exact shape of the guns in, and glued black silk to it. The top white foam is jut normal stuff from walmart. Nice discreet little case.
http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/...der/Myguns.jpg
Just for you Stuart! Stealth Mode! My favorite gun out of the case, my wifes new PK380 as of today, and my CQB rifle with my new Troy flip up on the back.

She doesn't like the 45's so she got herself a 380, aren't they... cute?[ROFL1]
