Thursday I was out for a nice ride.

Trying to pick up today. Was some paperwork hangups yesterday. Of course weather shit, and I'm about to go on a 5 day stint overnights at the Sheriff so I'm going to be too exhausted to ride (work sleep repeat)
Going to start sorta slow since sport bike is going to be a departure from my cruiser and versys upright touring positions.
Sweet! That should be real kick in the ass when you get on it. Reading the reviews, in the hands of most riders, the H2SX is a 'faster' bike given it has three years of development since the original debut.
When the weather gets a bit nicer, I'd love to check that thing out in person. Never seen one in the wild.
I think the original H2 is still faster, but far less refined as far as display, electronics, etc. (Smaller frame, no passenger seat etc etc)
A lot of the h2 sx forum guys all do an ecu flash from one guy that supposedly stays far away from going lean but is still a 198 > 245 ish bump in hp with a filter and maybe an exhaust which will pull it ahead of some of the 1400's that are about as fast or faster as it stock. (I was still flirting with a concourse instead as more practical for long commuting and I knew someone with a 2013 for 4,500)
Very nice! You'll have to bring it by sometime!
Who do you think I'll need to tear it apart to reach the ECU? ;p
Unrelated, but on my trade ins while I came out well. Was surprised my bought at 5k, rode 1k, vulcan s got a fork seal leak recently. Hadn't ridden it much in the last year maybe 5 times including taking it to the dealer. The versys I bought tires like 1k miles ago that had been at pressure, checked at least once or twice though admittedly I rode it probably 2-3 days after it got colder without doing air, they said it had cupping. Seemed awful quick to develop that. Though the stock tires on it when I bought it at also 5k miles ish were also badly rounded.
I'll have to check, but the ECU is probably under the seat. Usually a couple of screws and a plug or 2 to get it out.
Edit: Based on the fiche, it's on the right side towards the front, probably alongside the airbox, so there will be at least a little bodywork removal to get to it. Just 1 plug, though.
