people act like vegetarians are out to convert them, but there is no greater collection of hang-wringing ninnies than a carnivore presented with a plant alternative to what they're used to. Exhibit A is this thread

Chick-fil-A says right on their menu that the cauliflower sandwich is not intended to be a vegetarian option.
It's just another (more expensive) option than their standard chicken, likely fried in the very same oil.
Like I said before, veggies aren't great, but deep fried veggies are good-to-go.
I'll get one this week and report back to the group so everyone can move back from the edge of their seats.
Alright boys and girls. I ran out and got one. Here it is. It's an actual slice of cauliflower deep fried. Not a patty or some sort of shaped cauliflower mash. Actual cauliflower.
The sandwich is tiny and weighs almost nothing. Doesn't feel like much food. It tastes ok, mostly like deep fried breading but the cauliflower is slightly bitter and has a few tough stem parts. Needs hot sauce. It's not filling.
Would I get again? Hard nope. It's more expensive and spicy chicken is infinitely better.
I almost wonder if this is their way to test the water for when the WTO makes it harder to get actual meat...if the WTO has it their way we'll all be eating veggies and bugs. Based on this sandwich, that's going to suck hard.

PS - some HDIC at Chick-fil-A needs to make it his mission to redesign their ranch cups. I've never had a single one that had the foil lid come off clean in one piece. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...38caa12d6f.jpg
Thanks for being the guinea pig. This is exactly what I thought it would be-- absolute crap food. Nasty grease permeating a bad carb overload.
As mentioned, I love cauliflower and we'll often have half a jumbo cauliflower in a meal, lightly steamed. The chic-fil-a thing is like two bites. Fast food is a health crisis in America.
How long was the line in the drive thru?
If you're unarmed, you are a victim.
Their drive through lines may be long, but they move fast. They have a very organized and efficient system. Also, I've only been greeted by friendly staff who seem to enjoy their jobs. Not like the zombies that work at other places.
Tried it, wasn't bad at all. But didn't fill the belly like the chicken sammiches do.
For being more expensive i wouldn't make this my chik fil a go to sammie. Does give them another option for vegetarians and another option instead of fish for the Lent season.
