I'm down for that, though I've met him already. Jim and I have been talking about getting together to empty some brass for a while now and have not gotten it done yet.
I can vouch that Jim presents in person exactly as he does on the forums. The first time I met him, before he opened the gate to let us in the yard, he looked me up and down, looked over at Whistler for a second, looked back at me, swings open the gate and says, "Yeah. . . you've got some ink, you can come in."
I'd vote for Rand in a heart beat NO MATTER What party he ran under.
I let TH in because his brother Whistler looked like a good guy, you marine, on the other hand...........kind of sketchy.
FWIW: my reload schedule is fairly tight. I do however need to get to whistlers sooner than later.
Getting back to the original topic, I still don't expect to see major shifts in gun laws throughout the states or at the federal level in the near future. Despite the Democrats' margin of victory in 2012 public opinion still favors gun rights over gun control and support for stricter gun laws has been declining consistently since the 90's.

Clinton signed the AWB at a point in time when there was overwhelming public support for stricter gun control. In 2012 the opposite is true, and I am doubtful that Obama will want to waste political capital on an issue that more than half the country disagrees with him on. Also, I don't think this is purely a Democrat vs. Republican issue. It's true that a majority of Republicans support gun rights and a majority of Democrats don't, but polls consistently show healthy minorities in the 20 to 30 percent range in each party that buck those trends. Vermont is one of the bluest states in the country and its gun laws are non-existent; Texas doesn't even allow open carry.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'RE ALL YELLING ABOUT!
Romney would have been no different on gun control lets be serious

Need to get over to EB today or tomorrow to pick up some parts I ordered, can meet you there if you want and save a couple miles. Hell I'll even bring tamales. Hmmm now that I think of it that may be why my orders always seem to arrive late Thursday...
edit: playing & forgot to post: This is just misdirection you'll never see/hear it coming in the dark of night & behind closed doors. It will come in the form of higher taxes, fees and "minimum qualifications", fewer places to shoot legally pushing guns and ammo out of the reach of most folks. It'll come in the form of UN treaties we never get to see until they pass, minor "common sense" regulations creeping like kudzu until they cover the landscape.
It will all come to pass so long as we argue and assess blame amongst ourselves. For decades we have watched as those with less fortitude willingly traded their freedom for the comforting arms of the Fed to the point they now believe it morally superior. It's more than guns, lying politicians, Liberal/Progressives or the two-party system it's the entire ideal we hold in our hearts for America.
If we are to have a chance we must come together, not just over guns but the pussification of this great country. Throw off your bubble wrap, air bags, warning labels and pointy-weird bike helmets and embrace the fact that death is but the opposite side of the coin. No one can be completely safe anywhere at any time and if you've never pushed your Harley until the front wheel started floating out you have no idea what I'm talking about.
