The last barrel gave 2750 or a little more. This one is just slow. On the plus side, it doesn't use much powder and it hammers.

I taught a friend to load precision AR ammo, processed 200 pieces of .260 brass, and loaded 300 or so rounds of blackout.
Took apart my 1050 until it was literally all separated. Having an issue so rebuilding, adjusting and lubing as I reassemble. Hopefully I can find my issue or I'm tossing it out the damned window
Let me know if it doesn't work out and when to stand under your window.
Call Dillon. Their customer service is excellent.
went to the range and fired the pressure test rounds with my 260 and the new Berger 130 gr Hybrids, then came home and loaded up a full set of test loads below where I found the pressure limits at.
Then set up a tool head for my 650 to load 204 ruger and knocked out 250 rounds on that.
Then set up the press to load 45 ACP and adjusted my dies to a better crimp and seating depth. Tomorrow I'll load up some test loads for that and go to the range to run the 260 test loads.
Pretty productive day all and all.
Loaded up my very first shotgun slugs. Hope to test them in the next few days.
Went with the Lyman 525's.

Set up a harbor freight cement mixer 3.5 cubic feet for corn brass tumbling. Got chicken wire to cover the opening, screw that on and it works for media separation. Noisy as hell, but I can do five gallon buckets of brass at a time.
Did you look at the one Lowes sells. It has a resin mixer drum.

What's 9mm looking like these days economically? Pretty advantageous or negligible savings and more for loading custom rounds (low recoil competition, etc)
Got out of .45 and went 9mm only. Just got a carbine so might expect to go through my 9 much faster than I did with a Shield and work Glock.
It will always be cheaper to reload. The sooner you get started and the more you shoot, the sooner the tooling up costs will be in the rear view mirror. As you mentioned, you get to fine-tune loads, and if you're smart "ammo shortages" don't happen.
9mm will take longer to hit the break even point with reloading, but you'll hit it and everything from there on is gravy. Thick, cholesterol-riddled sausage gravy.
Never installed the blades. It works great with no bucket. Just cover with plastic and bungee cords. I have 1/4 welded wire mesh over the hole. It's sweet.
I screwed a 5 gallon bucket into the concrete mixer, so now I just slide my 5 gallon bucket into the one screwed in. I also used 1x2s screwed in with gasketed screws in the bucket that holds the brass. The lid on the brass bucket is a gamma lid, screws on with O rings. It's still loud, but it's in the garage.
I loaded 20 rounds of ladder tests in 5 round groups for the .308. 42.0-44.0 grains of IMR4064 in .5 increments in LC11 brass topped with 168 grain Nosler CCs. The first group out of the new barrel was 5 shot at 100 yards .93". Im hoping to shrink it a little more.
Down sorted 2k of 556 brass for long range vs plinking loads. Need to start load development with the 1000 77gr TMKs I just got.
reloaded some arrows. (fix fletching, points etc) Got a Jamboree in a couple of days to attend.

I have used 69 and 77 smks in th past. I started a thread back in the data loss of march, the 69 TMKs didn't seem to work well at mag length so I dropped them. I will start another thread when I get my general load worked up, needs to run in 5 barrels.
Ran 300 win mag in the tumbler for several hours yesterday along with a few .243 I found lying around, got them all sized trimmed and cleaned up and now primed just waiting to be loaded. Have to figure out a good 200ish grain load for the 300 win mag.
I guess I can add something to this thread finally!
Was hoping to make it to the range yesterday but work sucks and got out late so I set up my 223 toolhead on the Dillon. Got the swagging rod set (I think), primer seating to the right depth, powder drop at 25gr of Varget, bullet seating die OAL at 2.220 (hornady 55gr FMJBT). Figure I'll make 10 each at 25, 25.5, 26 then head to the range and see what happens.
I put the specs above so people can tell me where I'm going wrong here as a noob. Probably need to bribe a local pro with some beer to double check my work but wanted to give it a shot on my own.
ETA: already sized and trimmed brass so I left the carbide sizing die off.
Betcha a beer that 25 grains shoots the best group.
Where did you come up with the 2.220 OAL? I bet zombie is pretty close on that 25 grains projection. My AR chamber gauges at 2.235 and I load 24.5 grains of H335 for sub MOA groups @ 100 yards with a 14.5" barrel. 26.5 grains was blowing primers out!
Wait, who doesn't just load to 2.26/mag length OAL on a 5.56 round?
I'm being serious - I always load to 2.26 when doing 5.56/223 - regardless of the semi-auto its going into. Bench rest is a different story.
Trying to turn 4,000 pcs of 5.56 brass into 300 Whisper/Blackout brass for a buddy before Friday afternoon.
Sorting 5700 pieces of 556 range brass. 1700 tumbled today.
I load 556 55gr FMJ to 2.220 overall length. Just depends on projectile.
What kind of throw variation are you getting with Varget metering in the Dillon? I haven't had good luck with volume measures and Varget in the past. Load H335 for bulk 55gr loads.
Agree with DenverGP-I have just a smidge of cannelure showing (not that the cannelure ring is very large)
I've only done a dozen or so test drops to adjust it. It's coming out from 24.9-25.1ish with Varget
The rounds I plan on loading with this setup will be blaster/hoser rounds. If I want a set up precision rounds, I'll go up with a better bullet and fine tune them more but I agree, all I need is "close enough" with these.
ETA: I don't know crap about reloading so I could be speaking out of my butt
Searched the EE on ar15.com for small base 5.56 /223 dies...some day they'll pop up and I can process the buckets of brass I sorted last week!
Anyone casting there own bullets? I have been re-loading awhile/ I want to get into making my own bullets too. What do I need to get to get started? Thanks for any help in advance.
Sending a PM...
Working on trimming the last of the bucket for 223.
Gotta say that a bit of nu shine in the Lyman red media makes a world of difference.
Sent by a hollowed out coconut using morse code
not a damn thing and enjoyed every second of it!!!!
Loaded up some 9mm in the 550 and I've convinced myself that I REALLY need a case feeder. My luck I'll order one and somebody on this board posts one for sale...
