I know not for not, but I don't think it is THIER property.Theyre just handling the transaction . It's already been paid for by me. I believe, technically speaking, it belongs to me now.....I just can't have it till ATF sends the OK. (Might could be worded better, but that's my interpretation)
EDit: for clarification my can was not built by them.
Voice: (304) 616-4500 NFA branch You need the serial # of the item in question, name on trust if it was done that way etc. IF there was an approval someone somewhere has a problem, besides you. IF there was never a submittal, it sounds like there's a line of people ahead of you. Paid by CC good, Postal M/order maybe. However the postal inspector's dept is about useless when it comes to recouping money.
IF it was me, after making those calls, I'd go to that other business and walk along the sidewalk, with a sign holding them accountable too. They had / have accountability in this from day 1.
Thanks Jim.
What a mess. Hope you guys that still have items owed to them get it sorted out. Have a feeling it is not going to be easy or pleasant.
:( Bummer all the way around. Sounded like the shop was on the mend, too.
If there isn't an ancient proverb about the heat of the Phoenix rebirth fire being the same flame that burns bridges behind it, then there should be.
Something seems weird, if they were going to close the doors, fine that is their prerogative, why'd they need to show a police presence.
Same reason we use our security personnel to escort out individuals who've been fired - to ensure they only take personal possessions and no company owned property and to ensure no vandalism/sabotage occurs to company property. People can be unpredictable when they suddenly find they're out of a job.
It can also help protect the employee against unfounded charges.
It's also what a shady ass company does instead of just sitting down with the employees and discussing the situation like men.
Rc you haven't been in management long enough then.
Well considering the last staff they had there tried a coup d'etat, I am not surprised they went this route.

So much for my dream pen gun...

What about the deal coins?!!!
Biggest joke of a company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

I've had one dealing with them and they took very good care of me. I realize some people had bad dealings with both sides which makes which side is at fault overall even harder to determine.
All I ever received from Paul was excuses, apologies and promises of awesome future stuff to be had with deal coins.
It took 1.5 YEARS to receive 2 308 lowers after being promised 2 months when I ordered them. Then to find out after cerakoting them that they don't take 3rd gen pmags unless I wanted to pay them to fix their design with extra mill work.

Get this shit. I was approved back on December 8th and no one contacted me. I've been on the phone with the ATF this morning and awaiting another phone call. Realllllly pisses me that all this wouldn't be an issue if they'd done what they were suppose to do and contact me.
Sign on door today 2-13-2015 "Under New Control". My buddy will be by there this afternoon I asked him to see if they have any contact information listed on this new sign. He said there were ATF people there last week. He said there were people in the building this week.
Well maybe there is hope......
Please keep us updated on that, And Sam, I have sent you a PM in hopes of the contact information you alluded to earlier on this thread.
Wow, what a shit sandwich this is. Sorry some of the members got hosed.
"Under new control" sounds so hostile. Normally signs of that nature use the words "management" or "ownership". Seems like the entire history of that business has been a giant battle and being under new "control" really fits the theme of the problems that business has had.
"...we have assumed control, we have assumed control, we have assumed control..."

That sounds to me like the investors (the money guys) didn't like the way their money was being managed/spent. My guess, the attempt to catch up and make right with all the people they screwed wasn't bringing any new money in, money was only going out so they put a stop to it.
Maybe they meant "Under Control"

Dear Shadow Ops Customer:
We are primary investors in Shadow Ops Weaponry, LLC. and were forced to shut it down due to apparent improprieties in the conducting of its business. We called in the ATF and the Colorado Attorney General's Office and the plant is under lock down and under investigation. We anticipate IRS involvement and possibly the U.S. Trustee and a Chapter 7 filing is likely. If a bankruptcy filing occurs you will be afforded a file number whereupon you can file a claim with the U.S. Trustee for what you believe is due you.
Under no circumstances do we accept, nor are we obligated, to assume or pay any of Shadow Ops Weaponry, LLC. debts.
Standard BS to CYA. It basically releases the "Investors" from liability. IMO this business was refunding money in such large quantities, they decided to file and make it look like something than it really is. I'd also not be surprised IF this "invesitgation" goes beyond the current employee pool. Figure the issues started 1+ years ago, maybe longer.
.......last one out, turn off the lights........ [gohome]
Update I finally got a return call from the local ATF office. Long story short, they told me they were working with the new owners and just have to go through a huge stack of papers to find my suppressors paperwork. In his words, "we have it and you'll get it soon."!!!!!!!
I would like like to add the guy I spoke to was extremely helpful, polite, and professional. He really gave the impression that everything was being handled.
