Much of this could be fixed with term limits. Here and in Russia. Lets start here as an example for the other nations to follow. Age limits. Lets say...50 years old minimum to 65 maximum. 2 terms max in Congress, Senate, Presidency, Judgeship, etc. Fuck all of the life time appointments, career grifters, etc. No extra healthcare, retirements or benefits just for showing up.
ALL politicians should serve 2 terms
1 in office
1 in prison

Now I am wondering if small drones swarming targets will make the old ways of warfare obsolete? Billion dollar aircraft carrier stopped by $50K drone? Cute girl in a trench, stops a Russian armored column? I can imagine an AI with satellite capability and multiple warhead delivery systems stopping an entire army simply by overwhelming it. You basically trade your tank for a brick of C4. This conflict will change the way the military industrial complex operates in the future.

The videos posted by Erno are "Interesting". Sunny and no snow in some, gloomy and snow covered in others. Most news stories the ground is snow covered and it's gloomy and very wintery. I'm sceptic that some of these videos posted by Erno are not from this current conflict.
In fairness, videos from Colorado in the last 30 days would have the same appearance. Dead of winter one day, early summer the next. Ukraine is also 2 1/2 times larger than Colorado. (So for perspective, like Russia is simultaneously invading Wyoming, Colorado, and a third of New Mexico)
Biden said Rus might be preparing chemical weapons. Yahoo headlines says Rus might use nuclear weapons. Biden is going to Poland the 24th. If any non conventional weapons are used, this war could go hot fast. By that, I mean NATO would have to intervene.

If you think it?s gut wrenching to see the war in Ukraine unfold on the small screen in the US, try walking past the long line of refugees flooding a main city in Europe?. The wife and I were visiting family in Paris this week and after seeing the long lines at the orientation center we decided to volunteer as English/french interpreter yesterday. I am going back today, she can?t take it?. Some of these folks have lost everything?. Yet they are resilient and want to go back and rebuild.

Ukrainians are solidifying a reputation of being some of the toughest people on the planet. I'm truly impressed by their resolve. Both of the refugees and those who stayed to fight.
It must be sad and strange to see millions of women and children fleeing their country. I assume there are no or few male refugees 14-70, right? I dont watch the news. I did see an article last week that stated 30% of the refugees at that time were from africa and the middle east. If that is true, that is very sad. They wont stand up and defend their original country OR the country that took them in. I dont know if that is true or not with all the lies I see online.
News said they were drafting military reservists 18-60.
