Just curious- Are they truly "single shot" (like a H&R Handi-Rifle or Ruger #1) or normal bolt and lever actions with some magazine capacity?

I'm not sure about that, but there are reports that he spent some time in Pakistan a couple years ago and that he posted on FB regarding what a beautiful country and what amazing people they were. Seems like a quick reversal to go from praising them to hating them.
I would bet that he didn't care one way or another about Muslims but he knew that targeting them would add fuel to the fire that he was trying to ignite/fan.
Not much and his only beef with Muslims is when they flood into his country "displacing whites" and when white westerners convert to Islam. Otherwise the only reason he picked a mosque to shoot up is because he knew 1) it would get the most attention in the media and 2) there's a good chance that Muslims will strike back (unlike other groups of immigrants) and his ultimate goal is to start a race war. But he flatly states in the manifesto that he doesn't "hate" Muslims in general (only the white ones).
He never criticizes Islam as an ideology, only the spread of it out side of "their part of the world".
Apostate Prophet covers this somewhat here:

And Sargon of Akkad is promising to post a video going over the entire manifesto.
The truth is, the NZ shooter is following the exact same playbook as Charles Manson did (the murders of Sharon Tate and friends was supposed to be blamed on blacks so that whites and blacks would start a race war ... the blacks would win and for some reason make Manson their king ... clearly he was nuts).
So that just makes that politician sound all the more stupid.
Well he was the one I was asking about. I think that politicians have pressure to rush out and say things, but I also think that people look for excuses to allow them to say shitty things. Given what is known from this long manifesto, if hatred of Muslims isn't part of the killer's alleged agenda, then is sure makes that politician look silly to rush out and try to lay the blame somewhere else.
NZ is now charging people who post the video.
Wow. I've never seen such an all-out effort to completely eliminate ALL direct information about an incident.

Under what law of theirs are they charging people? I haven't really thought about what it means that the government wants to shut down the video.
EDIT: I see the law they are charging him with violating in the article posted.
They've got to control the narrative so they can spin it in the desired direction.
