Awesome! [UZI]But a Mecha with Iron Man heart? Hmmm....
That's like the Power Rangers thing.... Giant mech manned by a person? Or, Gundam Wing...
This is based on anime from a series calledl "Evangelion". It looks amazing and yes I plan on watching it.
Atlantic Rim (YouTube it) looks better.
My 25 and 13 year old kids have been looking forward to this for the last year.
Voltron pre-dates both of those... Just saying. Plus, it's way better. [Coffee]
Looks like a fun, mindless action flick- I'll go see it, probably enjoy it. Kind of reminds me of Robot Jox meets Cloverfield. Not to mention, I really do like Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy and Green Street Hooligans!).
*groans*
Actually, it looks like it's based on Robotech/Macross as well.
Voltron was a mix up of three semi-related cartoons by accident. There really isn't a translation because they had no way of translating the original Japanese script. It was also heavily, HEAVILY censored for the American audience.
Ronin Warriors was also the balls back in the day.

The movie looks "meh". One of the things which REALLY pisses me off in regards to movies like this is when they do the stupid ass computer voice. I'm supposed to believe we are visiting the stars, exploring the depths of the oceans, and have built sophesticated bi-pedal fighting bots which tap into your brain in order to fight by mimicking your thoughts and actions, but the computer is a chopped up, tinny voice which resembles GLaDoS from Portal? *sigh* Knock that shit off.
Movie is out =)
NM different Pacific Rim.
This one?

Had that handy, did you?
The mech film is anticipated to be another box office bomb. We'll see.
...not me personally.
Just saw it on a pic thread and remembered Jims post.
Lookin' at gay porn pic threads?
...not that there's anything wrong with that.
"Funny/Random/Silly Pics Thread" on rerolled.org formerly FOH. A wretched hive of the bad things on the internet. (Though no where near as bad as things like 4chan.)
They do have a few other threads where I dare not tread.
Going today, looking forward to it.
Call me insecure. I still find it disturbing how just about everyone pegs me for a jew. (And Ironic a little since I love all things German including the idiot idea of a red/black 2 tone car...)
Sadly Taiwan other than street/vendor food, was not really any good for cheap stuff to bring home. Hell, couldn't even find decent souveniers.
If I'm lucky tonight/tommorow morning for this. Hoping awesome outweighs my usual plot hole/ridiculous nitpicking.
It's getting good enough reviews that I will take my sons to see it

Its Guillermo del Toro... it WILL be awesome.
I haven't seen a single thing from that guy that I didn't love.
Look up the snide comment Michael Bay made about it, and del Toro's response... awesome.
This is the best movie I've seen in a long time. Good action, not afraid to make fun of itself and kept me entertained.
i loved it.
if we had this movie on every saturday when i was 12 instead of godzilla. shit....
dont expect oscar winning performances. but as for an action flick. yea baby. go
robots v monsters. whats not to like. even someone (female) we dragged to it who said pre-movie, im gonna bring a pillow to goto sleep liked it
Just saw this movie. I paid $9 to see it. IT WAS WORTH $20-30!!!!!
Completely amazing movie. If you don't like it, here please take my time machine so you can go back and see Shakespeare in Love (sorry gay marriage isn't legal back then). Seriously, this movie rocked. Go see it before it's out of the theaters, because it's on it's last showings. You know why not many people saw it? because they were too busy remembering how they voted for obummer.
Took the little one and went and saw today as well. It was awesome. Only problem was we had to sit to close as we got in late.
Will be worth a blu-ray watch when time comes. Great flick.
Looks like the mecha in NGE but without the depressing psycho-drama in the latter half of that series. Not terribly interesting for me.
I'll see it just because it is Guillermo Del Torro.
I grew up with Travis Beacham (writer), he also wrote Clash of the Titans
Loved it. Blu-Ray buy for sure.
I saw it over here. Not my cup of tea but still a decent popcorn movie. I will probably snag it if someone has it on a hard drive.
I can't believe I saw this TURD of a movie.
So, where did the aliens come from?
Generic looking monsters.
MILLIONS of PEOPLE being crushed to death so they can battle over land!
That Asian chick who over acts and is annoying.
Horrible acting and a bunch of nobodies except for that guy from Sunny in Philly and Hellboy.
Just bad all around.
I could not believed I payed to watch a Sci Fi made for TV movie.
Didn't mean to hurt your feelings buddy.
If I offended you and hurt your feelings over this movie then please understand that I could care less about your tender feelings so pull your panties out of the crack of your ass.
If you don't like the fact I did not like the movie then hit play on your copy of What a Girl Wants and go back to jerking off.
Have a wonderful evening!
Chow!
good movie. i thought it looked HORRIBLE when i saw previews. literally i saw previews during oblivion and turned to my wife and said oh my god that looks like the worst movie of all time. seriously. but when it came out i said hell with it, its big action which is about the only type of movie i feel theaters are actually worth. i can watch chic flicks and comedies at home. went and actually really enjoyed it. its your typical summer cheese fest action movie. if you expect deep detailed plots you went to the wrong movie, but should have known that from the previews. cinematography was good. all that being said, i likely won't buy it on dvd. the epic action is great on a big screen, underwhelming at home in my opinion. you gotta have more substance to be worth it. definitely recommend a matinee viewing though.
