Nada, hiding indoors, crazy people out there today. That and I am tired of this Black Friday crap, is this what our society has come to? I dont remember this when I was growing up.
I have found some good online deals, just no extra cash to buy. :(
I thought about swinging by Cabelas on the way to work this morning, but when I went home from work lastnight there were already like 20-30 tents out there of people lined up so I decided against that. Looking at their ads they didn't really even have any great deals.
I'm not leaving the house. I detest everything about black Friday.
I planned on going to Cabela's as well. The north location, too many people. Managed to get my vehicle backed into at the parking lot at Wally world. Smashed out taillight. Tis the season I guess. I have to say, they couldnt pay me enough to be a cashier and deal with the attitudes of some of the people that were out. If I get hit by another soccer mom with a cart again, I may lose it!!
I went out last night to pull security for the missus. Got some good deals but today is a rest day. Plus I fucked up my back and it's killing me.
Had to go one place. People are driving like dipshits and every backwoods toothless yokel is at the stores. I'm now safely back at my house not to leave again today.

Yeah me too, wife is at Ft. Sill basic training so flying her out in December so have to watch money! Does anyone else get annoyed with some of those mail in rebates? I.E. I got some Trijicon HD Orange night sights for my M&P. They were $82.50 at DSG Arms (normally $110) instead of the normal price of $154 at Midway, $135 at Amazon.

Never have never will. I always knew it wouldn't be too long and some asshat would think if opening at midnight then why not open earlier in the evening on Thanksgiving and so that decision just adds to the distruction of our culture IMHO. My employer extended our already stupid Thanksgiving hours. Black Friday will eventually become meaningless because the retailers will just open all day Thanksgiving. Probably lead to open 24 hours Thu and Fri. On Wed I did not have one customer picking up RX's that thought retailers should be open on Thanksgiving. Just an unscientific poll and my customers are older.
I agree 100% with you, everything has changed as far as holidays go. I remember being a kid at Halloween and hitting every house in the neighborhood. Now I take my boys out and were lucky to find two houses in a row with their lights on. Thank after that, you turn on the TV and Christmas commercials were already on, two days after Halloween the malls had Christmas music playing. Everything is going away, even the Holidays.
