So I'm getting ready to take the plunge on my G26, but I haven't decided what pattern to stipple.
Ideally I'd like to mirror the pic below...

But it looks a bit advanced. You guys that have done this type of work have any guesses on the tip or technique it might take to achieve this type of Stippling? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
looks like they used a round semi-large sized object heated, and then just dragged it down.
It's definitely a Drag style stipple job though.

That top left brass looking rounded one.
i'd use that, get it nice and hot, stick it into the area then do a small flick down and see..
I practiced on a PMAG before I ever touched one of my pistol frames with an iron.
Been practicing on grips and pmags. Hopefully will do a glock... In the next 6 months
I personally like the feel of a more fine stipple. That just touches the surface of the plastic vs a deep stipple.
That crossed my mind, I may need to file it a bit smaller, it's larger than the pic makes it look, I'll likely bust out a pmag for practice.Quote:

Nice, looks good. I did the same on mine; just used the finest tip I had and poked till it was all done.

That is outstanding. How long did it take you? It looks like my finest tip is still larger than the tip you used, and it takes me 2 hours on average for a Glock. I read some posts on another forum by a guy who used basically a needle tip and it took him around 8 hours.
It took me right at 5 hours, with a couple diaper changes in between lol.Quote:

For my carry Glock, I only stippled the backstrap and frontstrap areas because of this. Left the sides untouched since that would start ripping up shirts and trying to steal my kidneys.Quote:

Looks like it turned out nicely. I'm fairly certain that if I tried that, I'd completely ruin an otherwise good pistol.
did you free hand the edge or did you mask it off with tape to give you a straight line?
