I wouldn't do it under normal circumstances but it's at least nice to know information if you found yourself is a really bad (and yes, really rare, odd) situation. [panic]
I think reloads headspace on the extractor more than people realize, but a .45 case that's a few thousandths short vs a case that's .142" short is a pretty big difference.
Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Ray, change the G17's recoil spring to a 15lb ISMI. It will shoot better and eject better.
