The more hopeless Americans get, the more you will see this type of thing & the more .gov will use those events to take our rights away.
Plus, It's only a matter of time before all the hate spewed by people on the left starts to drive fanatic leftists to propagate their violence on people on the right or those who stand in opposition to the socialist/communist agenda.
Oregon ... just saying.
Where the heck are these kids getting guns like this? Are parents REALLY that absent nowadays where they have no clue that a child has access to a gun?
I have not seen any official confirmation on the weapons. Only a reporter said that a "Police Source" told them it was a AR15, helmet, and vest. Has anyone seen a official confirm this info?
My school aged and teen children do not know the combo to the gun safe and is not allowed to have access to the firearms without an adult like myself or wife there. Besides my carry gun which I am always carrying they are locked up.
No my teens don't have an AR. Our oldest (15) has a .22. He would have an AR, but right now he is more interested in Video games and teenage stuff. I also don't get out shooting as much as I would like to.
I grew up in WA just north of Portland and had no access to any guns unless my parents were around. Just goes to show that people should have to get a license to be a parent. We have to have one to hunt, fish, drive, drive a big rig, ride a motorcycle, carry a firearm concealed, have a business, even to get married, plus way more....so why not to be a parent?
Another one where they're going to blame the gun, not the shooter.
Short answer: YES.
Remember, you have XXXX School District that has taken over all parental responsibility now a days. If two teens can straw purchase guns and build bombs in their rooms, all because their parents don't give two shits to be more involved in their lives, or even go as far as ask "How was your day?" then I fear we're not going to see this behavior diminish over time.
So I see this on FOX news http://kdvr.com/2014/06/10/threat-on...killing-spree/
WILLIAMS BAY, Wisc. — A Wisconsin teacher posted a comment on Facebook that may cause her to lose her job.
The teacher at Williams Bay Elementary School wrote “I’d like to go on a short, but effective killing spree. My children are insane.”
Superintendent Anderson would not say whether the teacher in this case has resigned, reported FOX6Now.com.
The district’s teachers union president says the teacher in question was sent home for the rest of the week.
And a commit by apparently another teacher.
roni
I’m sorry…but what teacher hasn’t verbally or internally expressed this thought at least once! And if you are a teacher, and say, “Never!” you are lying!

I wonder where these kids get these ideas?
Is it just me or have there been a rash of these in the last few weeks... WTH??
It's just you...
Damn guns shoot'n people. Mine just don't fuk'n work, guess I need to sell em.
This just in via CNN
Speaking in Washington, President Barack Obama said the nation should be ashamed of its inability to get tougher gun restrictions through Congress in the aftermath of mass shootings that he said have become commonplace in America.
"Our levels of gun violence are off the charts. There's no advanced, developed country on Earth that would put up with this," he said in response to a question about gun violence.
Most members of Congress are "terrified" of the National Rifle Association, the President said, adding that nothing will change until public opinion demands it.
"The country has to do some soul searching about this. This is becoming the norm, and we take it for granted, in ways that as a parent are terrifying to me," Obama said.
Prepare to be steamrolled by congress. I feel some big bullshit is heading our way.
Huh? When I was teenager attending Boulder High in the early 90's, we owned one gun safe, and I kept the keys to it, having access to pretty much anything I wanted at anytime. If the only thing keeping your kid from going on a shooting spree is the lock on your gun safe, you have got WAY MORE SERIOUS problems than just firearm access...
My son is eight now, and I plan on the his gun rack up in his room later this summer for his BB gun(s).
What ADVANCED countries is the lying ass MOFO talking about.
If they couldn't get anything through congress after Sandy Hook they aren't getting anything through congress ever. Period.
That said, I wouldn't be surprised to see some drastic over-reach via executive order. But other than that his words are impotent rantings of a man losing more and more power every day.
I had access to all my father's guns while I was in high school. My parents taught me responsibility but they also took an active interest in my life. It's not the availability of guns or even the kinds of guns available, if the AR and the AK were responsible fore mass shootings, we'd have seen these shootings happen 50 years ago. I don't know how much the media can use this, because all they care about is body count.
Thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the victim. May these horrible events stop soon.
Honest to God I don't know what annoys me more in the wake of these kind of shootings; the "OMG we need gun control now!" bleating from the anti gun leftist useful idiots or the "OMG They're surely going to take our guns now!" bleating from some fools in our camp.
Exactly!
Once I was of a reasonable age to be familiar with, and respect firearms (which was likely younger than these psycho shooters) , I pretty much had unrestricted access to the gun safe. The only thing that was asked of me when going shooting was to clean the weapons, and don't go crazy on dad's ammo supply. I never once had any thoughts of going on a "spree", STOP blaming the guns, or even access to the guns.
Psycho got your ass beat when I grew up so much so it beat the PSYCHO outa ya. No drugs just a can O' whoop ass.
No chance in hell they'll do it, mid term elections are way too close and the dems instantly hand control of the senate off to the R's in a heartbeat. Now, if they retain control, they'll probably try something but will instantly get slapped back in check when they do.
That damned NRA is the problem.
I can't figure out what we have more of school shootings or government coverups?
I respect your opinion, and that your 8 year old is mature enough to handle that. Mine however are not, and just as you are engaged enough with your child to know at what point he is ready for that, I am engaged enough with my child and can say he is not. Your child is not like all of the children of the world and mine are not as well.
This is more than a shooting spree, this is about accidents, injuries, and NDs. And a heck of a lot more than a child shooting up some place.
This is correct, While I still have an active part in their lives, I as a responsible parent can safely say that at least one of my children are not ready for firearms to be readily available in the house. Not a particular one but any.
My thoughts are this: I am not going to be the Parent on some stupid liberal news outlet saying to everyone, " he was a good kid, I have no idea why he did what he did". No Sir.
It is all about teaching them and exposing them to things that they can handle IAW their maturity. If this was about some other tool and not about firearms: If did not believe that my 13 year old could not operate a knife at the dinner table to cut his steak without cutting himself or the person next to him, I would not give one to him to hang over his bed. I would tell him exactly why he is not allowed to have a knife at the dinner table and if he wants to make becoming more mature his priority in life I will see some change.
They are exposed to firearms, NOT shunned away from them. However they ARE exposed to them in a manner in which I think they can handle mentally.
Parents are failing, and the laws and regulations and stupid "child behavior specialists" who have never parented in their life are making it easy for a parent to fail.
