Well, with this.. it makes sense: Dick’s Sporting Goods Hired Three Gun Control Lobbyists In April
Good on them. #Sand
Would be nice to see American Outdoor Brands pull all of their products from Dick's.
I hope every other manufacturer follows the leader on this. Good for Springfield. Would be a fantaric scenario of all the ammo and firearm manufacturers quit selling to Dicks and banned their distributors from selling to them.
All gun manufacturer should sever ties with Dick's Yoga Pants and Panties.
This will lower their top line. It would be fun to see 3 straight -18% pre-market after earnings would make them rethink.
Gun owners usually have more pocket $$$ than yoga pants shopper.
If Dick's wants to play games on the firearm front, and your company also makes firearms, then remove all firearms/hunting/outdoors products from Dick's. After all, you wouldn't want them to be hypocrites about their political stance. The same goes for the likes of REI.
Our future = getting fucked over.
The future of libtards is exponentially gaining ground at light speed it seems.
Good, fuck Dicks.
Perfect response from Springfield Armory. That’s a big fish to lose, and I hope it isn’t the last gun manufacturer to follow suit.
This makes me want to purchase an XDm even more.
Wasn't SA on the shit list a few months ago for being in bed with the gun grabbers?
What all was spring field even selling in dicks now?
Dicks doesn't sell handguns. They aren't selling the M1A or AR platforms either.
This leaves out the majority of SAs product line.
Might just be publicity for SA.... We are dropping dicks, even though they effectively dropped is already.
If so, then Springfield Armory is using the Dick's playbook:
Dick's (2012): "We won't sell any more black guns." (47 stores)
Dick's (2013): starts Field and Stream subsidiary which sells black rifles
Dick's (2018): "We won't sell any more black guns." (30-35 F&S stores)
NSSF explelled Dicks today from membership in the foundation.
The step I'm still waiting for is for a major manufacturer to refuse to sell firearms to LEOs in a restrictive state.
If enough get on board, THAT would be a game changer.
O2
I thought Barrett already did that in California.
Kinda of. They gave money to the Illinois FireArms Manufacturers Association which caved in a bad bill that exempted manufacturers from huge new licensing fees that would kill dealers. Once they (Springfield) were made aware of it they pulled out and fought the impending legislation. The IFMA are scumbags that took Springfield's money and donated it to anti-gun Democrat's election funds.
Illinois politics.
It's not going to stop me from buying an EMP 4" Concealed Contour.
So I was reading the Dick's annual report to find what percentage firearms is their business. While I didn't find that answer, here is an interesting tidbit.
