Ugh.
Sadly, I don?t think this will be the last. The amount of democrats crying for socialism is getting deafening
I was listening to an excellent podcast today with an angle investor/entrepreneur who gave an excellent response to Andrew Yang's (and other's) proposal of Universal Basic Income, and it got me thinking about this very subject. People talk and talk about how free market economies aren't working, all while miss characterizing how they work (if you are winning, it means some one else must be losing), yet they always want to go to some sort of communism or socialism that has never worked. The logic doesn't follow. Free market economies have brought the most prosperity the world has ever known. They aren't perfect, but they certainly aren't broken. Communism/Socialism ONLY and ALWAYS brings suffering, and ultimately death, to the masses and has NEVER worked, yet people think we should abandon something that does work for something that doesn't.
Dingbat.
That right there is the face and voice of the enemy. She even admits to it..."...by any means necessary." And yet there are those who don't hear what she's saying, even though she's crystal clear in what she's proposing. That's just scary there are those so ignorant that they can't recognize what this woman is proposing.
Let her last sentence sink in.
"By any means necessary"
I'm sure Stalin, Pol Pot, Castro and Eichmann uttered those same words......
Hey Candi-https://youtu.be/vdL7QowDR8M
Denver has their own AOC.
'Socialism is great. I use social media all the time. I keep in touch with all my friends on Facebook.'
Isn't that special...

The progressive / modern liberal philosophy is almost premised on an assumption that nothing is inherently good or bad, or right or wrong (initially), rather everything that is bad is only so because it is exploited by everything that is good. And everything that is good is only so because it has exploited something, making it "bad". Boil down anyway.., My keyboaardd is getting gay so I i can't elaborate too much.
Criminals are only criminal because someone "abused" them or they suffered "unfair hardships". It's not because some people are born sociopathic or are just evil shits.
Good people don't exist, e.g. if you're a successful white individual, it's not because of any hard work or dedication, it's only because of your "white privilege".
Capitalism is only apparently successful because it *MUST* be exploiting something. It's not possible to be successful without exploitation in this mindset.
It's really a nearly indescribable, deep seated pillar of the modern liberal/progressive though process. It doesn't desire equal success, it desires equal failure to be pleased.
Couldn't have said it better myself Stu.
Ultimately, THIS is why they want everyone disarmed. They know the masses will not go quietly into the darkness that is socialism/communism and to implement their goals "by any means necessary" will require force. They must have the monopoly on force to achieve their goals.
Agreed. Communism & Socialism fail because you take away all incentive to produce. If you are forced to give up the fruit of your labor to someone who refuses to produce for themselves you lose your incentive - and stop producing yourself. Now, EVERYONE fails and production ceases. These people believe that someone only succeeds because they exploit others so they take from those producers. They fail to see that THIS exploits those willing to invest their resources (labor, money, time, etc).
Opportunity exists within a capitalist, but that doesn't automatically translate to success. Success is only achieve through hard work (lots of it), good decisions and a bit of luck (right place, right time, right ideas for the moment...).
I fear for what mankind is becoming.

I'm sure she would be delighted to usher many into her new America.
Via cattlecar.
The poverty line in this country is 100 times higher than the average income of many countries.
Just another day in the life of Ivan Denisovich.
Unfortunately, no one in Candi's circle of friends has ever heard of Solzhenitsyn...much less some of his characters like Ivan D.
Denver will be the capital of her new world order.
And she is a lezbot. Is the whole state gay now?
Excellent. post.
Exactly.
Think about how stupid she is, how she completely ignores the histories of the Soviet Union, Red China, Cuba, Nazi Germany and the rest. Now think about the imbeciles that voted for her, they're your neighbors, prepare accordingly.
I used to not care.
June is now dedicated to making me care.
I don't preoccupy myself with what folks do with their naught bits but I do take note of groups that are part of the Lib coalition.

I can't add much to the excellent comments from you guys, other than to point out Denver is taking the absolute worst of the public-private partnership. The previous councils made sweetheart deals with developers that drove up cost of living/housing. Then they tried to force "affordable housing" which had made matters worse. Now the council is signaling an outright opposition to market principals and capital investment, which means those are off the table.
I think Denver is about to get even more expensive and needy. If we lose TABOR, it will probably be just to subsidize Denver.
These folks are taking the local economy for granted. There are very few of those service sector jobs that have to be done in Denver and could be done anywhere.
ETA: This is what the same people have done to San Francisco....
https://sf.curbed.com/2019/6/5/18653...nkbeds-startup
Startup rents bunkbeds in the Tendernob for $1,200 per month
Shoving people in "pods" for $1,200/month. And it's a co-living space so imagine how fun that would be!
Not far off...

Some people read Marx and think that it sounds reasonable.
Other people read Marx that also understand human nature and think there's no way that this works successfully.
Gay or not, it's time to get out of here for good.
Tick tock, tick tock.
Yeth.
And her annual salary is $92,000 . I hope her constituents get their moneys worth...
If there is no more places to run away from things you don't like, then it's probably time to make a political stand.
I'm afraid it will take much more than that, Irving.
When the enema started brainwashing the youth in the education system decades ago, taking a political stand now is pretty much futile in this state and many other states as well. IMO.
The liberalization of youth can't be solely blamed on schools, as all those kids have parents. My point is that the time to run away and let other people deal with the problems is 1) running short and 2) the exact mentality that put us here in the first place.
My point is ...we don't have the numbers to pull it off. Parents, schools, or the asshole down at the carwash.
They have been much better at playing the game than we have. Whomever as a collective that is responsible for letting it happen in the first place. It's too late now.
2) the exact mentality that put us here in the first place.
I would add that I've tried to do my part, as many of us most likely have....and we're losing really hard.
Yeah, I'm leaving. By the time the poison infests my destination, I'll be too old to give a shit anymore anyways.
