Get something with 4 wheel drive, a small lift kit, and some good tires. My F250 6" lift and 37's could hardly tell there was a foot + of snow on the ground, but a truck or jeep with 35's or even 33's will get you by just fine. The biggest thing is learning how to drive in the wet stuff.

Welcome to the site. Durango has a lot of good stuff going for it, but it's quickly turning into a liberal haven with their anti-gun, etc. attitudes.
Let's see - BBQ. While I don't think it's as good as back home (I'm from KC MO), we have a Rudy's here in the Springs (yes, part of the same chain, not a knock-off). It's the best BBQ we have in the Springs these days. If you ever find yourself on this side of the state you'll have to stop in and satisfy your cravings.Quote:

I was born in Oregon, got lots of experience driving in the snow. for fun we would go find parking lots and drive stupid, ha! them were the days. can anyone recommend some open area where I can go sight in my 243 and ar? I haven't be able to get off to go hook up with the range here. besides, I don't like crowds.
