On you're 18th or 21st birthday. What did you get? Do you still have it?
bought an entry level bushy for my 18th, and a G21 for my 21st ended having to sell both a few years later to make ends meet though
When I turned 21 I took a fun little trip from Evergreen over to our [better than Conifer] neighbor of Bailey, and bought my Glock22 Gen3 from Bailey Guns (now closed- Thanks Carl! [Tooth]). Still have and use the gun as my carry piece to this day... and since the chat in the Polymer Pistol subtopic, it will be my duty piece if I get on Jeffco next year! [Beer]
Good luck on the Jeff Co thing Ronin
Parents bought me a S&W .44 mountain gun for my 18th. Surprised me after dinner.

I bought a Colt Double Eagle on my 21st from WalMart, but I was stupid enough to get rid of it. [Bang][Bang]
Both my 18th and 21st birthdays were spent over sea's.....so, I stayed alive for my birthday :D
Had my first rifle and pistol gifted to me well before I was 18, turned 21 with an M 16 courtesy of Uncle Sam...........But I had to give it back.......[Rant1]
A few weeks after my 21st birthday, I went out and bought an S&W Sigma in .40
I bought a ruger 10/22 the day I turned 18. Nothing on my 21st.

I was playing war on my 21st birthday. I had lots of plans revolving around buying guns and drinking...
18th I bought a couple of m1 carbines and on my 21st I bought a couple of Garands-I still have them and I'm 45 now :D
Bought a Winchester Model 94 in .30-30 on my 18th birthday. Still my favorite gun to shoot! :D
Bought a Glock 19 on the 21st. I've probably put 4-5k rounds through it and it still shoots as good as ever.
on my 18th I bought a 870 express at Kmart iirc it was around $200.00, I still have and use it. I've bought several shotguns since, it is still my fav.
I bought my first 22 rifle from a dealer (good 'ol Western Auto) right after my 18th. Found a private seller and got my first handgun, a Ruger MkII, at 19.
I was in Canada when I turned 18 and 21 so no guns for me until I moved to the US in 2006 and got myself an M1A :)
I went to Firing Line for their Summer sale after I'd turned 21, intending to get a Super Blackhawk. They were gone, but I got a great deal (yeah, from Firing Line) on a P85. Still have it.
Mossberg 500 on my 18th. Still got it.
18th was a stevens 12 ga from the pawnshop [ROFL1] No I don't still have it.
21st was a cz32 from a shop in arvada. No the thing was a POS and broke after 3rnds.
At 18 I was in the service so no gun there but already had a 303 brit and a .410 bolt. At 21 got my Desert Eagle .50AE. Still have all 3 plus lol
On my 21st birthday I purchased a Ruger Super Blackhawk. Still have it. I changed the grips right away but still have them. Also, two girl friends I had at the time were into leather and made me holsters, one cowboy style and one as a cavalry flap style.
I will never sell it.
Got a Ruger P90 for my 18th I believe. I think i got a gun pretty much every birthday. My 21st was spent in vegas[Pepsi]
I always had a .22 rifle and a .410 shotgun since I was a little kid. When I was 20 I bought a Ruger Super Blackhawk in 44 mag. Didn't like it so much so shortly after my 21st birthday I sold it and bought a brand spanking new Colt 1911 in .45 ACP. Shot the hell out of that handgun for the next four or five years until I sold it and bought a Glock.
Remington 870 for my 18th. Still have it.
Glock 21 (1st-gen) for my 21st. I sold it, though: the grip was just too dang big.
Kind of wish I had it back, now, just for the sentimental value.
Good Lord, you know how many years ago that was? But I don't remember ever buying a gun for any "occasion". I'm an impulse buyer, I buy what I stumble across.
My 21st B-Day, Cross roads of the west gun show. Ruger Super Blackhawk 44mag, brand new. And still have it. 20 years ago. Time flies when your having fun right!! [Tooth]
P85 was my first FFL pistol purchase, shortly after turning 21. Still have it, too - MkIIRed and all.

Bought a Savage mkII on my 18th, and a Taurus 1911 on my 21st. Still have the taurus.
As a combination 18th birthday gift and a "thank you" for (spending the summer after I graduated HS alone 100 miles from friends & family - with no transportation besides an old Schwinn - to watch my deceased grandparents home/property), my dad bought me a used Mini-14. This was in 1983, before the "Ranch Rifle" model came out do it had a nice tacit cool look to it.
I still had that rifle until my tragic boating accident a few years ago which is the only way I think I'd ever part with it.
To answer the OP's question though, no, I didn't BUY any firearms for either occasion.
Come to think of it, aside from the accident, I've only ever gotten rid of 1 gun, an old Remington Nylon 66 .22LR with a stripped out rear sight post screw. I couldn't ever hit was I was aiming at with that thing.
The Nylon 66 was my first gun I ever owned, the Mini was my second.
1973 in Ohio , glennfield arms 12 gauge pump, still have it still shoots great still looks pretty damn good, I was 13 and bought at Kmart !!

At 21 I purchased a sub compact xd in 9mm. Wish I still had it but like everyon on here I wanted something different, newer, more accurate, and more expensive so I sold it.
