Just wondering will I have a problem getting my CCW? I bought 7 guns within the last 2 years, my last purchase was last month. Just don't want to waste money on applying if I'm not able to get my permit!

No you wont have a problem. Dont worry
No felonies, DV's, or restraining orders then your GTG. If you have nothing on your record then there is no need to worry.
What makes you think you will be denied? Obviously something that why you are asking
Where's a good face palm when you need one?
Can you please explain why you think buying a few guns over two years time would be a problem in obtaining your concealed handgun permit?
Jim...Jim...
Where are you, Jim?
7 firearms in 2 whole years??
You must be new.!

Obviously, only 7 guns in a couple of years is not enough to allow you to qualify for a CCW. You should purchase at least 10 more in the next month and a half to ensure you have the proper average...
And the OP's next thread in the CCW section will be asking: How long is the wait time for his CCW permit for whatever county Ft. Collins is in.............[LOL]
To the OP, remember, it is a background check form not a registration you fill out when you purchase a firearm in CO.
All the ribbing you are getting is our form of hazing NOOBs, don't take it personally. And remember, when you go to your first group shooting outing, it is the NOOBs job to paste and reset the 100 yard and beyond targets.[Tooth]
As much as I think this is a silly question, I asked questions when I first was interested in carrying, and some people treated them like they were stupid questions. There is no connection between your past firearms purchases, and your CCW eligibility.
OK...now that the niceties are out of the way, back to the hazing.
OK everyone, calm down. We've been at this stage before in our lives & he didn't ask for wait times...
OP: as long as you meet the requirements, then since CO is a shall issue state, you cannot be denied a permit. You can read the applicable statues cor CCW requirements by searching for Colorado Revised Statues (C.R.S.) 18-12-203 through 18-12-206. While you're there, read the rest of the 18-12-xxx statues as well before taking a course from a reputable instructor. Live fire is not required in CO but is it recommended for almost all shooters. Feel free to post any questions here as there is a plethora of knowledge on this forum (as well as friendly sarcasm and rants about wait times).
Ok guys lets take it easy on the new guy.
Ease up on him now.
If 7 guns made one intelligible, I would have never gotten mine.
You will be fine. Just do your diligence, keep yourself above water, and you'll be good.
Holy cow!!
Ive bought that in just 10 minutes!!
I can see if you just bought like 15 guns at a show in Nevada by the border...but if the nics cleared then a permit is no problem.
And I thought I had culture shock!!![Bang]
And yea-Welcome to the forum!![Beer]
Guys, a *little* joking and teasing is cool, but the biggest reason I joined here and got active on the site was because it wasn't like some many other sites I visited/joined where anyone asking a question to LEARN was harassed endlessly and mercilessly. Let's not let ourselves become the next bARF.com please.
You people are really childish I ask one simple question and this is what I get! You don't have to comment if my questions are stupid, and yeah I only got a few guns so what I'm happy ,grow up people. Your making yourself look like an ass! I really don't care what any one says so please understand that before you take time out of your day to try to make someone feel bad!
NOW I'll say something (yeah i know about time) All laughing, kidding giving shit to a newer member is all part of the process.
HOWEVER your response to all involved sounds like someone who needs to take your ball & bat and go home. Sit down have some warm milk and mellow out.
An ASS really who is the f#$%^&* kid now???
WHAT'S SADDER is as TOR will agree, the mentality of northern co is changing from one that use to be independent and self reliant to that of weak , whiney, mfkers.
Jim gets an: Atta-Boy![Beer]
If I could, I would imbed the "You People" clip from Tropic Thunder............
why not ask it? no harm no foul. Christ if one follows the media, having bought more than one firearm within a lifetime and having two bullets could make you a terrurist much less able to get a cc permit.
OP, I know it doesn't look like this - but these people are actually good guys.
To explain it a little bit, most of the guys here buy/sell/trade 7 guns every month or so...
Regarding your question, if you have clear background - you won't have any problems.
Little advice - get a good training before your CCW. Also do some reading about laws, regulations, etc.
And don't hesitate to ask questions here and welcome to the forum!
Amen to that. Sometimes what is considered obvious to old school gun vets may seem like a perfectly reasonable question to someone who is new at the whole hobby. Condescending smart ass remarks don't do a whole lot to encourage new people or make them want to come back here to get involved with the community.
Is that what we do? Beat up new guys for asking new guy questions?
For the record, the reason this guy got any shit at all was because he posted in the thread about CCW wait times, asking about wait times. A whole thread complaining, and explaining why the question is unnecessary, and he asked how long the wait is. Then, he started another thread asking the same question. Then he started this question. After demonstrating that he was not reading the thread he first posted in, he was basically open game.
