I saw this come up when they were having the hearings on the pay for background checks. They don't run back ground checks for public officials because it is unconstitutional. Yes they have a right to serve and don't have to prove they are not criminals.Quote:

Funny, ain't it? She can have a criminal record and write the laws but it's doubtful a person could get hired as a police officer with that record to enforce the laws written by the criminal.

The fact that there is no conviction just means it was plead down. She got arrested for shoplifting- she certainly did the deed.

This record spans 15 years. She obviously only got caught those times. But in 15 years how nuch did she steal during that span of time and didn't get caught!!!???
