I just couldn't help myself...its been on my wish list since I decided to get my first firearm for sport/hunting/defense. I finally 'pulled the trigger' and purchased an FN SCAR 17s in FDE. I know people will be of the opinion that buying something like that during this crazy run up on prices was foolish but what the hell. I had an unexpected windfall. I also got 2 additional 20 round FDE magazines thrown in.
sweet! I will have a SCAR 17 to match my 16 sometime.... but in FDE. A must is a PWS rail.
Congrats. The lack of recoil on 17 is amazing.
What's PWS rail? I was thinking my first accessory would be a foregrip and decent optics. I've decided to shelf getting optics for my new POF P415 and use the money on getting decent optics for the Scar 17...now just gotta figure out if I want something like ACOG/EoTECH with magnifier or just get scope.Quote:

Just got confirmation that FFL info was received and the item shipped. Looking forward to shooting it but I have to go locate some .308/7.62 ammo that doesn't cost me my wife, kids and dog...
Also, if any Scar 17 owners have suggestions on optics, send it my way. That's probably my first add-on for this.
I use imgur.com, easy to upload (have the droid app too so I can upload from PC or Phone), then resize (for some reason my phone pics are MASSIVE), right click "copy image url" and paste in here! Done. Thus endeth the lesson.Quote:

Ouch!!! The Z6i is around $2400 and the Leopold Mark 8 CQBSS is a little north of $3000. No way I can swing that right now. I took some time to do research and I think I found the right 1-6x variable powerscope right under $1k that should work. Looking like its the Leopold VX-6 multigun but I'm going to do more research into other options.Quote:
