i wonder if my VIridian X5L would work like that or maybe on the bottom rail.

Its a Vltor stock, much better in design then the factory one.

Just got confirmation that FFL info was received and the item shipped. Looking forward to shooting it but I have to go locate some .308/7.62 ammo that doesn't cost me my wife, kids and dog...

Also, if any Scar 17 owners have suggestions on optics, send it my way. That's probably my first add-on for this.

I use imgur.com, easy to upload (have the droid app too so I can upload from PC or Phone), then resize (for some reason my phone pics are MASSIVE), right click "copy image url" and paste in here! Done. Thus endeth the lesson.

This is all up to you, but my suggestion is to get yourself an Acog or a Variable that goes out to at least 6x magnification to take advantage of the platform. Something like a Swarovski Z6i or a Leupold CQBSS.
