I hate to say it, but I think CO is turning more and more blue. Over the last few years, we've had a large influx of Californians, and they seem to have brought their politics here with them.

This is the real problem- people seeing guns as evil, being brainwashed by the media... got into a "discussion" with a philosophy major from UC Boulder.. happens to be my boss's daughter... after about 20 minutes of me defeating all of her talking points, she wanted to be done- because she was losing her argument badly... she usually starts the debate because she wants to... I guess being a philosophy major does that?
That's when I told her never argue with an Alaskan about the 2nd amendment... it's like wrestling in the mud with a pig- after a while, you realize they enjoy it...

I suppose that I should point out that liberal bias and common sense are polar opposites of each other. And that liberal ideas are harder to spread unless worded right. But can be easy to poke holes in if questioned.
For instance: Say that you are a bright and shiny liberal fresh from college. You just shaved your beard and took a shower and are ready to sell out and join the establishment. You want to do help those less forutunate by giving them money. You think that welfare checks should be increased but you need to raise the money some how? You tax something. And give the money to single mothers so they can buy food and what nots.
Well it sounds good but say you are the one paying the taxes. You have to folk over more money for something that you buy for no reason or benifet to you. You ask the leftist why? They say because it helps mothers and he has so much and I have so much that I should share without question. Its the right thing to do.
The moral is liberals feel they owe a great debt to their fellow man... a debt they plan to repay with your money.
That sucks and seams evil.
With all of the "obama fever" this election season it is ironic that for the first time since 1869 Tennessee has a Republican majority in both houses. They're ditching the Speaker of the House that would always put a hold on any positive firearms legislation and keep it from even getting to the floor for an up or down vote. Now it looks like we'll get some good stuff here; CCW in restaurants that serve alcohol and perhaps even carry on campuses (though that's one is less likely). TN went to McCain, or actually against obama, but a bit over 20%.
On the other hand a neighboring state went to obama by something like 5%. That state was Virginia, where my entire family lives and fully 1/2 of them drank the kool-aid and voted with the "feelings" for obama.
While I hear it being said that CO is still mostly 2nd Amendment free, it's just Denver that's a problem, I also saw where someone had posted something about Denver not allowing large capacity magazines (over 20 rounds). My concern in moving there is having Denver drive the politics of the state and suddenly discovering that some of what I own is illegal. And just to make it worse, the class 3 stuff is registered, so it wouldn't be hard for them to come after me and demand that I turn it over.
Kinda' scary! I love the area around Trinidad and Cokedale in the far southern end of the state. Not too cold, snow, but not all the time, dry climate, that's a big part of my reason for buying land there a couple of years ago and not in the boonies in Idaho or somewhere up there.
Yeah, I know, I'm preaching to the choir, but I like to get things off of my mind from time to time.
sounds more like Marxism...
and the problem is when there are sponges that would rather live off that than contribute to society... and there always will be, since it's in human nature.. just stronger in some than others..
I like the direction Alaska is headed- in 2003 they lifted the requirement for a CCW permit to carry concealed- you can still apply for a permit if you want/need reciprocity, but they recognize that concealed carry is an inherent part of the 2nd amendment...
and I think alot of people drank the kool-aid this election... this is the 2nd time (in recent history) that change just for the sake of change has worked for the Democrats, they managed to draw alot of people into their narcissistic fantasy world... anytime you can point out something factual that goes against whom they're following, they get agressive...
there's where the real danger is with the upcoming leadership, IMHO...
Yeah the Dems will attack you personally and every other way they can if you disagree. I am not looking forward to charge because its not always good and hope isn't a plan, its sounds to condescending. He has 2 years to do whatever his liberal bones tell him. Or longer if he can keep the dims in line.
