In this hypothetical situation I raised..A private transaction between individuals is not illegal providing the sale is not to a "prohibited" person. I`m not an FFL therfore not engaging in interstate commerce. I`m not looking for a pissing match.. 1229 will be found to unconstitutional, The lawsuits will cost a lot, and someone will have to prove standing. But..the state government can in no way enforce this ,or police it.

Same with high cap mags, let the prosecution prove it without illegal search and seizures..see how long it takes until they tire of that shit!

I see it being used more for "ammunition" for Bloomberg, Brady & the Dems. Not Actual LE operations. The hidden camera at gunshow kinda thing

The Sheriffs of CO already said they wont enforce any unconstitutional Law and knowing my County Sheriff, Sheriff Maketa, he wouldn't pull this kind of crap.

But I'm with y'all, go with your gut instinct.

The state government can try to selectively enforce it "as an example to others." As for illegal searches, in places like NY they are common and they are often upheld in court. Gun owners are the new smokers. They are trying to shift public opinion against us by stigmatizing an interest in guns as a type of dangerous mental defect. If they succeed in shifting public opinion against gun owners, I expect to hear about an increase in illegal searches . . . and if you haven't got 50K to spend on your legal defense, good luck fighting it in court.

Will be the same for the so called "assault" firearm AND/OR the so called High Cap magazine.

If/when the "assault weapon" ban is in effect here in CO, it will be illegal for an out of State FFL dealer to sell such a proclaimed "assault" firearm (and only a long gun at that) to the resident of CO - since that firearm is banned in CO. Sorry but the FFL dealer HAS to make certain first that the firearm is legal in the CO residents home State. This is why FFL dealers are furnished with an ATF issued book containing various State laws that the dealers must be familiar with and comply with. Sad but true.
