My school which gets around 3% of it&#39;s funding from the state is very liberal. It is the big picture of not having both sides of the story in our schools. If they devoted the same amount of time to the Constitution, laws, liberties etc, as they do about preaching tolerance and teaching about all of the bad things that the US government has done, then I would be fine with it. It is the downpour of only liberal thinking that is ruining our edcuation institutions and perpetuating these sorts of things.</p>

Wonder which gun shop this was. I've seen a lot of this at my local, too... Quote, exactly: "It don't bother me none, ain't nobody comin' for my ol' goose stick." -- Sure, there, Paw, until some lunatic decides to emulate the DC Sniper, and then suddenly your "ol goose stick" is suddenly a "high powered sniper rifle". Which serves ONLY ONE PURPOSE, and that's to murder babies from 100m away, or .... something.

I used to laugh when my (at the time 13 yo) would shoot circles around a 100 yd target with my Yugo AK while a Fudd with his 3k Weatherby could not hit the broadside of a bull in a barn. One actually asked how I could let my kid shoot "one of them damn things"...I just told him "he's out shooting you aint he"?

Comes from Elmer Fudd, of Bugs Bunny fame. He only owns a shotgun, only owns it for hunting, and doesn't conceive of guns for any other use.

I have a buddy with the same mentality. what got to him was actually a little bit of what the future looked like.

I asked if he thought that "the government" was planning on stopping there? and did he think that his kids would have easy access to the guns he hunts with? or his grandkids?

The thought of the possibility that his kids couldn't enjoy hunting like he has, or that his grandkids will not have the same opportunities as him is what really hit home with him
