Same here. The loads are generally lackluster, but at least the brass is good.

I giggle like a friggin' kid when I pull up somewhere and find 100 fresh cases glittering in the sun. God bless 'em. And the guys that leave a buttload of new .223 brass on the ground, hell, I'd buy 'em lunch. One guy left 18 M1 Garand enblocs for me.

I used to belong to a range where we let local law enforcement do some of their training and qualification. I used to love showing up right after they left. Always tons of 9mm, 40, and 45 brass left behind.

We let the national guard use the rifle range once. There must have been 100 guys shooting their 5.56 rifles. Brass was every where. I thought I was going to hit the mother load. When they were done shooting they policed every bit of their brass and took it with them. I bet I didn't find three pieces when they left.
