I don't care - OP's the one whining about lube jizzing out the back, so my answers were for his sensibilities. I run my AKs dry and put them away dirty.

I use Honda 90? Moly. Used it on BMW spline shaft's and other high stress areas. It does an amazing job on H/T/S wear surfaces for slickness.

No semi-auto is made to run dry. Most will do it but it's not good for them.

Car engines are not made to run dry either but all will do it............for a while.

    exactly

by the way for those of you who think the russians run them dry.... a guy i know was in the ukranian army as a VDV spetsnaz and he said that in combat if their gun were to malfunction due to being dirty and dry they could be shot by an officer. combloc armies were (and are) just as adamant about having a clean lubricated firearm as western armies. if anything over grease your ak i grease mine up at all points of contact with moving parts and i use lots of grease and i still have yet to be "sprayed" by my 10 or so ak's

You've been sprayed by something, not sure what it is, but you've been sprayed.
