I spent a few years in Williston and it wasn't bad. Of course that was after the last oil boom and before the most recent.
After growing up all across the US, I've been in Wyoming the last 8 years or so of my life. I really like it up here, besides the wind and somewhat cold winters. Lived in Loveland for a little while and I really liked it but after what's been going on down in Colorado plus the state income tax thing I don't think I'll ever move back.
The wife and i are wating it out to see how the 2014 elections go here in Colorado, before we try to find a new place to call home.

I have family around Laramie, we looked there but it was too expensive for us. Lots of good hunting around there.
We have family up there that we visit once in a while.
Like said......the wind.
