How about some pics/feedback from those of you with Springfield XD's?
I think they are terrific guns. I sure do enjoy mine. Hoping to get a few more some day, this is it for now.......

I love mine, I have not shot it much, only 3 mags worth but I prefer it over my s&w m&p pro, better feel, more accurate, and eaiser to take apart.

I've had my XD-45C for over a year now, after the first day at the range I sent her back to Springfield Arms for their combat action trigger job, along with some Big Dot night sights. Although I would not recommend the big dots for target shooting, “I was going for quick target acquisition, my CCW weapon", the trigger job was worth every penny!!!!!!

How is any gun easier to take apart than a Smith M&P?
"There are no finger prints under water."
you dont have to stick your finger in the chamber to pull down the disconnect, when you have short, fat fingers this is a pia. you dont even have to pull the trigger like the glock, just pull the slide back, spin the lever and the slide comes off. the one thing I don't like about the xd is having to squeeze the grip safety to pull the slide back.
You don't have to stick your finger in the chamber of the Smith either, just pull the trigger.

I have a XD.45 Compact and a XDM 9mm. Love them both. Was a die hard 1911'er; not any more.
will work for:
bullets primers & brass
XTR II 4 x 20 SCR
XTR II 5x25 SCR
XTR II 3x15 SCR
XTR III 5.5x30 SCR
Hawkins Precision
Im thinking about picking one of these up! Only shot the XD45 4" model and liked it well. With summer coming, Im looking at the subcompact .40 for shirt and shorts clothes!
BTW my HK P2k is the easiest gun to feildstrip IMHO.
I have put about 400 rounds through mine and i love the feel of it.
