    Default Group Buy Section...

    Hello Mods/Admin...

For some reason, when I got back from the office today, I couldn't seem to see the Group Buy section. Any reason for that? Am I alone in this?

I am somewhat concerned, as I have had no infractions with the site and can see the remainder of the trading post just fine. I have several paid commitments to CWRPINZ and would like to have access to the threads.

Please let me know whats up.

    Thanks!

All the info is safe and sound, just inaccessible to the public for the moment. You are still welcome to send PMs, and if you need info from a thread let me know and I can provide it.

From the get-go, we have been explicit that these group-buys are private transactions that are to never tarnish the atmosphere of the site (excluding any due posts into a member's feedback). Unfortunately, the opposite happened, and we tried to play nice by removing offending posts. We then got accused of "aiding and abetting a thief" because we didn't want dirty laundry aired except where it was appropriate, in feedback.

Because of this, we are currently re-evaluating the entire group buy section on the site. Nothing is decided yet, but it is hidden from the public while we weigh our options and opinions.

Yes. No matter what happens we will facilitate completion of all current pending transactions. The discussion at the moment is whether or not to continue allowing future buys on the site.

I saw the thread yesterday before it was removed so I figured that's what it was about, thanks for the update J.

Group buys have been proven to be solid and simple. Would be a big loss if his were not allowed any more.

Not as big of a loss as dividing this community and killing the kinship we have here. We want to keep them, and are working on setting strict rules to still allow them without risking drama for the site, community or staff.

Thanks. As a mod on another gun site... I feel for you guys in this. I appreciate the info.

I trust Patrick, but needless to say, it concerned me a bit when I popped on tonight and there was no group buy sub forum!

    Default Bring back group buys

I read the previous thread about the strife in group buys but I couldn't reply. I think it's a shame to punish all of us by removing the FB thread when a few people have a particular issue with a transaction. If they have a problem, p,ease deal with them not punish all of us. I think e FB section definitely kept with the spirit of harmony and bringing members together. If a few we're upset talk and deal with them, remove their posts or whatever you mods do (haha) but please don't punish the rest of us.

    thanks
